Sex Offender Laws Unjust? - Miley Cyrus & Justin

Happy New Year!!

Been on vacation from blogging, but I'm back ... with a story that I saw when it first came out, I wanted to write about it, but chose to wait to see what happens.

Miley Cyrus, the 16 year old daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus ... has been dating a 20 year old Underwear Model for a few months now. That's a 4 year difference that basically means, what's going on here is Illegal. Read it here...

But why are there literally no stories online about this? You'll find it in the comment section of stories like this one, but not from the Writers of these stories. It seems to me that we have some Serious Issues with our Sex Offender laws.

Had this been a normal girl, dating a 20 year old, With parental consent, it is Still against the law. The DA can prosecute regardless of what the parents think. And usually, that's what the DA would do. Meaning a normal guy who's dating a girl who's not yet 18, Can be forced to register as a sex offender, for life.

Yet, in this special situation, the daughter of a wealthy celebrity who happens to be a wealthy celebrity as well, is allowed to get away with breaking the law. Specifically, her 20 year old, nobody boyfriend is allowed to break the law. No one wants to bag and tag him, apparently. No DA wants to put him in jail, and force him to register for life as a Sex Offender; Perhaps doing so would draw too much attention to just how Unlawful our Sex Offender laws truly are.

If you have enough money, or in this case, happen to be dating someone with enough money, the sex offender laws don't apply to you. Otherwise, you're lumped in with Rapist, Child molesters and abusers, and awful, dangerous people.

Look at Dateline and it's highly controversial show, To Catch a Predator. Adults posing as 13-14 year old decoys Invite men over to their place after entycing them into steamy, often x-rated conversations - all of it, apparently seemingly consensual- just like Miley consents to date Justin - the Older man, and the Younger 'decoy' agree to do something; And many people in our society call these men, sickos, perverts, many are forced to register as sex offenders - but why is no one calling Justin a sick perv?

Are we that in love with our celebrities that we Turn a blind eye when they do what the rest of us cannot do? Elvis? Jerry Lee Lewis? I would include R. Kelly, but he's black, and is often called a sick perv ... I guess we'll make exceptions for race :)

Which makes me wonder how well received a story like this would be if the Young Wealthy Celebrity were a black girl, dating an Older man.

Of course, the Official Statement is that these two are not dating; that they are 'just friends' - Of course - like she's gonna go on record saying 'yes we're dating, we hook up, have sex, and do everything normal girl FRIENDS and boy FRIENDS do.'

Too bad we don't have a website to post their text messages and emails back and forth to one another. I'm willing to wager money there is all kinds of evidence that more than "just friends" is going on - besides, How often do you hear that with famous people that don't want the media all in their business... ?

I recently saw a Video on TMZ.com .. where Brandy was coming out of the mall with Tyrese Gibson and both of them seemingly tried to play it off for the cameras, that they were not together. Later in that video, after being followed around and harrassed, Tyrese comes over and asks them to stop filming, to leave him alone, mentions he and Brandy are 'just friends', and that he's a private person - basically sounds like he's saying, yes we're dating or having sex, but it's none of your business - and I don't want the world to know.

The point I'm getting at is, we either need to re-evaluate our sex offender laws - or call for the prosecution of Justin, the underwear model for breaking the law. Read More...

We need to be consistent; otherwise if we're gonna make Exceptions, then let's examine the list to see who else is eligible for the same kind of treatment.

That's justice... vs. Just US (which normally only applies to the rich.)

Web Design Blues.... Pricing, Costs, Quality...

Read a Real good article on Web Design costs today... and I could totally relate to what they guy had to say;

Everybody wants a killer design, especially after seeing one that they lust over. Problem is, nobody wants to pay for it.

Here is my comment on his article...

I totally agree with everything you said.

Recently I was contacted by a lady, representing 3 of her sisters, and they want (wanted) a Really Nice site that allows them to sell items; Not only that, they want the process completely automated, which means finding a Drop-Ship Company to do two things: 1. When an order is placed on the site, it notifies the Company and then 2. The company sends out the order to the customer.

Now, my Base price for a design is around $1,000 - that's extremely simple, but nice, professional, and effective; for a CMS (depending on how complex) we're talking $250 - $500 ... For R&D ... when customers want something like automated, intergrated, Drop-Shipping ... tack on another $500.

Then you include Flash, for Logos, Banners, adding animation and sound to the site (something else they requested) - and my numbers were up at around $2500 total; I told them I'd do it all for $2,000

Know what they told me?

Way Too high.

lol... So yea... People do want killer sites; they just dont want to pay for a killer site.

that has been the Only stumbling block in this profession; finding people who Understand that if they want to build a brand online, a business online, they have to Commit to it - it can't be something you stick your Toe in the water on,... U gotta Jump In.

Not only that... You've got to be willing to Invest in Quality, to get Quality in Return. People aren't gonna buy stuff from a site that looks like it cost $10 to build.

People are simple - they'll see a crappy site and think "crappy products" - even if the products are good; So Good Products need Good representation; it's just too bad Most people who start up a business don't seem to grasp this idea. Enjoyed reading this article, many props your direction, and good vibes; good luck with everything.

Who knows, I thought someone out there may enjoy reading that. Who knows, the ladies may come to their senses and realize that a Real business takes Real Money to invest; but that what I'm asking isn't really all that much.

This does tend to be a common problem with people - When I was in Network Marketing, I was showing people a business that, if taken seriously, and with a lil luck, Could help them earn $5K - $10K per month - for an investment of $500.

Tons of people said, "that's way too much money"

People want to make money - but people don't want to earn it - and people certainly don't want to invest any money to make money; The real truth is, Most people just want to Clock in and get Paid to Show up.

It's a common theme in the workplace; People who hardly work, rather than work hard. People who blog at work, chat at work, myspace at work, talk on the phone at work, and you know, do just about anything while at work other than WORK!

Fat, Lazy Americans... :)

Life must be pretty good out here... pretty good indeed.

In the Business and Professional world, we call this the "Employee Mindset" - Nothing is really wrong with this type of thinking, unless you're the boss - and you're paying people to do, nothing ...

This only becomes a problem for People who want to start a business - but have no training on what it takes to be a business owner; specifically, How to THINK like a business owner. "Business Owner Mindset" ... is the total opposite of "Employee Mindset".

Employee Mindset feels things are Owed to him or her - simply because they're an Employee - meanwhile, they feel no responsibility for the success (or failure) of the place that employs them.

Business Owner Mindset feels that they Only deserve what they've earned, and worked hard for; You would think all people would understand that, whether they've owned a business before or not; the truth would Surprise you however.

While in Network Marketing, often I would find that people who DID invest $500, felt that because they put money in, money should come back; This isn't the Stock Market... and even there you have to put your money in the right place (stocks that are going UP in value, not going down) - Even there you have to monitor the market, and move your money around; You can't just let it Sit .... unless you're a Long Term investor, which of course is a completely different ball game, where most do NOT expect to make money right away.

If one did, simply put, they are a fool - or at least, they're not educated in Making Money in the stock market; Same applies to employees that want to run a business; They have the 'desire' to be independent but unfortunately do not have the Knowledge to make that a reality.

When the ladies informed me that my price was too high, I wanted to tell them that it's clear they have not been investigating this or researching web design fee's. I'm honestly not even sure they Should start a business because it doesn't sound like they have it all together; from a Mindset standpoint.

I'm even contemplating doing that more often when people come to me wanting a website for their business; only problem is not all people handle the truth very well; Recently I was setting up a site for some people, who's business plan was ... well, Crappy.

They wanted a Social networking site, but wanted to charge for it; much like e-harmony; the problem is, sites like those cost LOTS of money to develop; Meanwhile, they were spending money on things they did not need - not taking my advice when given; and they ended up going bankrupt, and losing the site entirely - in fact they bought a pre-built social networking site from some other company, which charged them an arm and a leg for a site that looks like TONS of other people's sites...

Classic case of uninformed people, making uninformed decisions.

Business Owners, take the TIME to find out what they need, and don't need; they dont make rash decisions; and they certainly don't do something "because of cost" - They don't ignore cost either; It's not smart to spend LOTS of money on something, Just because it cost a lot of money; Price doesn't 'always' mean Good investment....

But... that's life - and hopefully people reading this, who want to own a business, or who want to own a website can learn something from what I'm sharing here ... that if you want to get into this game, you must Get all the way in; Take it seriously, and take the TIME to know what you are doing. To avoid making costly mistakes that will land you where you don't want to be.

We wanted this... they kicked our ass Twice during the Regular season; Both games were bad timing; The day after Thanksgiving ... according to coach Phil Jackson the Lakers were ... "Full of Turkey". Early in the season, teams are not playing their best; Then came the short-shorts - a good idea but, They should've warned the crowd; Find any footage from that event and you'll see, People Laughing; Not giggling, but Laughing Out Loud, ... really loud.

It was hard for them to concentrate on playing basketball; Hate to make excuses but, it was; By the time half time came, they were getting their asses kicked, and didn't have enough time to get back into the game; So... We wanted these mother $%$!^

Obama - held back by racism?? True or Not True ...

An excellent article written by Cynthia Tucker - about how race is very much still an issue when it comes to our Vote for the next U.S. President; My comments are below.

RACIAL STEREOTYPES ARE DEEPLY EMBEDDED IN OUR CULTURE

After a recent column describing Barack Obama as "a presidential candidate who happens to be black -- not a black presidential candidate," I received countless responses from readers, a handful of them odd. That odd handful declared they take no notice of superficial traits such as skin color, and they took me to task for making any reference to Obama's race.

"I thought of (Obama) as a person. I did not see black or white or Hispanic or that he was a man -- I saw a person! If people really, truly want racial equality, then the first step has to be to STOP looking at skin color," wrote one reader.

"When I look at a person, the last thing I think about is skin color or heritage," wrote another.

Sorry, but I'm not buying it. While I am sympathetic to any desire to get past dated and useless habits of mind -- especially the contentious politics of the color line -- that's just nonsense. None of us, black, white or brown, is colorblind.

Those readers may think they don't notice skin color, but it's just not so, says University of Washington psychology professor Anthony Greenwald, an expert on implicit biases and common stereotypes. "Even if they can't see anything out of their eyes, they're not colorblind."

That's not a condemnation, not a presumption of malicious bigotry. It's just an acknowledgment of the peculiar burdens of humanity, especially in these United States. Assumptions about race and ethnicity are so deeply embedded in our culture that we can hardly help noticing skin color.

Each of us is stuck with prejudices, and I'm using the denotative meaning here -- "an unfavorable opinion or feeling formed beforehand or without knowledge, thought or reason," according to Webster's. But we don't have to be governed by them.

Cutting-edge work by Greenwald and his colleagues, who include Harvard University's Mahzarin Banaji and the University of Virginia's Brian Nosek, suggests that people can learn to put aside their biases to make rational, fact-based judgments about people who may be black or Mexican or Mormon. "To the extent that we can influence what we learn and believe, we can influence less conscious states of mind," Banaji says.

But the first step -- as in any self-help project -- is to own up to the problem. Many people don't realize they're prejudiced because, well, they really don't realize they're prejudiced. That self-knowledge is not necessarily difficult to acquire, but it's quite often difficult to accept.

Racial bigotry is a social taboo in this country, so much so that only an extremist fringe -- assorted neo-Nazis and skinheads -- admit their rank prejudices. That may explain why some volunteers who have taken Greenwald's Implicit Association Test, which uses word association to detect unconscious biases, are furious when the test shows they hold hidden negative views of black Americans.

"Some people have a concept of themselves as non-prejudiced, so anything indicating a chink in that armor is threatening," Greenwald said. But his research has also pointed out that most people simply aren't aware of their implicit assumptions.

Take the current Democratic primary, with its history-making narrative. Greenwald and colleagues modified the Implicit Association Test (https://implicit.harvard.edu/implicit) to search for unconscious biases among Democratic voters. When asked who they planned to cast ballots for, a sample of voters reported strong support for Obama, who held a 42 percent-to-34 percent lead over Hillary Clinton among the sample, with John Edwards coming in at 12. But when the same people took the Implicit Association Test, measuring their unconscious preferences, Clinton was "the runaway winner," favored by 48 percent of them, and Obama was dead last, with 25 percent. Edwards was favored by 27 percent, according to the researchers.

And here's one finding that upends conventional wisdom: According to the test, black voters, too, held implicit biases that worked against Obama. But how could it be otherwise? Black Americans are products of the same culture as white Americans, with its myriad stereotypes of black incompetence. And black Americans have internalized many of the same stereotypes.

The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. dreamed of a day when his children would "not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character." But that day has not yet arrived. We might hasten its dawning if we'd admit that what we see is not necessarily what we believe.

Oops! In a column about rigid voter ID laws, I mistakenly referred to the Bill of Rights in underscoring the right to vote. I knew better. The right to vote is explicit in the 15th, 19th and 26th amendments to the U.S. Constitution.

I've been saying all along, that while I do Hope Obama wins, it's unlikely - because America is still Very racist; If you've ever been in a chat room, when the topic of race comes up, overwhelmingly there is a negative vibe towards black people.

Mexicans may get riled a bit for the illegals, but seemingly all races stick together against black people. It's truly a sight to behold - You wouldn't realize that so many Americans felt that way, in 2008 - but they do - because Nothing is truly being done to end racism in this country.

People are not being made aware of what's truth and what's brain washing - propaganda - and what's real, versus what has been made real.

As human beings, made in the image of The Creator - we too, can create.

And we do it all the time, every day - some of us may not realize it, or stop to think about it, but we all have created our lives - and together we have created the human experience - full of domino effects.

Everything is like the game of Chess, not Checkers, and then again perhaps all games can teach us that for every move, there is a counter move - or a next move that can only follow the initial move - and this can be applied to racism.

White people started racism, and it's been my belief for many years that white people must make the first move to end it; When they make that move the counter move, or the following move, will be made by blacks - to further embrace white people, once they've been shown evidence that white people no longer hold an interest in seeing black people get the short end of the stick.

Recent Events that do not display this: Katrina, Jenna 6, and now one might even argue, Obama.

We need white people to take racism seriously enough to move past their prejudices so that black people can let go of the feeling, that white people don't like them; I mean, so long as white people don't like blacks... what else are blacks gonna think?

Also, I think it's important that we not play semantics here - I know that not all white people dislike blacks; So please don't wrap your minds around the way I phrased that sentence - go deeper - instead of focusing on the white people who don't hate blacks... think of all the white people you know, who do! And from this day forward, realize that They are The Problem.

Then, deal with them, their ideas, their beliefs - get them to feel shamed for them. Only for the purpose of helping them heal - so that they can recognize the error of their ways.

Nobody is perfect - not even me - but we can all strive towards it.

What's Ice Cube talking about??

I enjoyed the video put together by Ice Cube... and now it's time to talk about what he's saying.

It's a Timely Video, speaking to the topic of Gangsta Rap's influence on crime in black communities... and overall violence in America. Of course what he's NOT saying, is that Gangsta Rap IS indeed responsible for this violence; What he's Saying, (in case anyone missed it) is that any violence found in the black community was learned from the white community; And he's right.

Violence is not spurred from Gangsta Rap - Gangsta Rap did not Create the conditions that he talks about; But, it does keep those conditions going; It does not do enough to speak out against those conditions, or to motivate the people born into those conditions to Do something different, to change those conditions.

Gangsta Rappers do not do enough to change those conditions; Instead they've used those conditions to make a better life ... for themselves. You tell me, is that right?

The world has always been a violent place, going all the way back to Cain and Abel. Man killing Man has always been a problem that we face in our world; Countries going to war against Countries has always existed. Some believe wars and violence will always exist.

And while that may be true, the reality is, we do not really know IF that's true. All we know is, it's always been here, and we've accepted that it will always be here, so, We've done Nothing to stop it, end it, curtail it, and so on.

Music is very powerful; and while Ice Cube may not feel that he is solely responsable for creating the violent conditions that exist in the black community, I would respectfully disagree to a point; I mean you really cannot lay 100% of the blame on the rapper; You really can't; That's neither fair or accurate.

Just like you cannot solely blame "the white man" for what they put in place 400 years ago; Systems, Ideas ... Cultures - created and grown - seeds planted, with a plan of them turning into trees called Niggas - who would act and think a certain way; The truth is those plans have more to do with black on black crime than gangsta rap does; Even more truthful, those plans explain Why gangsta rap exists in the first place.

Those plans, created a culture that is truly divided; Even during the Civil Rights Movement the black community was divided about the proper way to go about securing these, Equal Rights - Non-violence ... or Violence if Necessary.

The Crips and Bloods were at one time, ONE political Party, similar to the Black Panther Party; but they were eventually divided; as a people, sticking together, especially for the Good of our race, is not part of our culture. Certainly unlike the Jews.

Often when I would get into "fights or debates" with racist white people in chat rooms, they would point out that blacks are the only race that hasn't recovered from the harm that was done to them; They almost always point to the Japanese who were rounded up and placed in concentration camps during WWII - or the Jews and the Holocaust;

The biggest problem with this comparison, this way of thinking that all races have been through traumatic times, is that The other two races were not "divided" while going through their trauma; Instead, their trauma brought them closer together. I do not have time to go into all of the things that were done to black people during Slavery And Legalized Segregation in this post, but I have gone into detail before in other posts on the web (here and other sites).

When I say there is Lots of work to be done, that's an understatement; The black race was divided long ago, and the only true way to end violence in the black communities, is to totally destroy black culture, and then start anew. Pulling this off however, would be nearly impossible; Because of what culture is.

Culture is passed down; from one generation to another; Views and Ideas are given to young black children, and as they grow older, these views and ideas are reinforced by the communities they live in, the music they listen to, the movies they watch, the People they are around, friends, family, uncles, aunts, cousins, and so forth. So starting anew would be difficult, mainly because the Old ideas and views have not been eliminated; and are being passed on, as we speak.

Who are we to tell someone that their Mother and Father, perhaps even unknowingly so, have ruined them with views and ideas that are detrimental to their own development; that the very views and ideas they hold onto so tightly, are the same views that are holding them back from achieving success, legally, in a country that is constantly looking for ways to lock black people up.

And so, the debate ... and the conversation continues; perhaps with the hope, that the current views and Ideas held by many in the black community, can somehow begin to change on their own... that perhaps unity can eventually seep it's way into our mind sets - so that together we can all decide what to do, to better our communities; along with what not to do, to keep our communities going in a downward spiral.

I used to love Gangsta Rap growing up; I had all the NWA and Ice Cube albums; till the day I came to realize just how detrimental this music is to my people. While some people can listen to it, and not enternalize the ideas expressed with in.... many black people in my community, take those words to heart; They Become the characters from the songs; They mimic the visual representation given to them by music videos, and the movies these same gangsta rappers write for themselves, to further exploit the black community, living real good lives from representing the crime found in 'the hood' ....

Here's to America - and the hope that the Nation will wake up to the tragedy going on at home.

I have always wanted to make the world better - my world better - your world better; I've always been an 'improvement' kinda guy... so I guess it's natural for me to feel that when I write things, I do so for the purpose of helping You - and often, helping me.

For so many people who blog ... blogging is almost like their release. But when blogging with a purpose, when writing for a higher goal than just to put your thoughts down on "digital" paper... Powerful things can, and often Do happen.

The ugly Truth about women online ...

I have been slacking in my "Chat room" category; but trust me I really do have tons to say on this topic.

I've been chatting for close to 12 years. It's something that started off as a pretty fun idea; but has turned into complete crap. I hate to say it but mostly at fault are the women who use chat rooms.

There are a few ugly, but sad realities about the women who use chat rooms - I'll get on the men in just a second; But when you look at what men do online, vs. what women do online, it's no comparison. Women are worse.

1. Women LIE! - Ok men lie too but, the things men lie about are not even as bad as what women lie about. Women, lie about LOOKS - more often than men, women will use a picture of a girl that is NOT even Them. Often the person in the picture looks NOTHING like them! Now while there may be a few men out there who lie about themselves, what they're packing, what kind of car they drive or even how much money they make, most of the guys you see online are Themselves.

2. Women LIE! - I'm not done - not only do women lie about What they look like, they completely lie about who they are. Often when you meet a girl with a screen name, the more positively it describes her the less likely it is to be true. This is a tragedy!

Girls named sweet, are not - Girls named 'nice' - are not - Girls named 'smart' - are not - Pretty much any adjective you can think of, is almost NEVER true about the woman using the screen name.... and I'll say it again, that is a Tragedy!

3. Women Don't Talk - this is also true for most women online; they have nothing to say. Part of the problem is that guys, being so aggressive as we are, are usually all sending private messages to the ladies in the room. One lady may have 5-7 guys talking to them at once; This is not to mention the 5 guys from their buddy list who are also trying to talk to them - which leads up to problem #4

4. Women are not Intelligent in how they use Chat rooms and buddy Lists. If you don't want to talk to guys, Don't ADD Them - it's that simple really. Most women add guys to their lists, guys they met in chat rooms, and had a good conversation with - Then from that point on they NEVER talk to the guy again. They don't say hello to the guy when he's online - They don't respond to the guy when he says hello - many even Complain about guys who say hello them all the time, who they of course, Never respond to.

It's riddiculous - and it's NOT intelligent.

Then these same women will return to a chat room, meet more guys, add them, and ignore them - what is the point of that? Someone else out there who's more intelligent than I am needs to help me figure that one out.

It makes no sense - and it's just another reason why women have ruined chat rooms.

There used to be a time when rooms were pretty popular. Now they are mostly overun with Bots - Spam Programs created to post links to adult sites, or adult related sites, who randomly spam everyone in the rooms.

There is a myth that people left because of these bots - but the truth is the bots are there because there are no People to fill those spots.

Say a chat room can hold 40-50 people - If a Real person is holding that spot, a Bot cannot get in. It's simple. But since there are no People, there are plenty of open spots for Bots to get into rooms and spam the room and the people in it.

So, why did people leave?

Many got tired of the fights - there were Many (and still are some) fights in the rooms. People fight about everything; Tons of racism, that's the most common fight; You would see tons of white people making every riddiculous racial slur in the book about every race; but getting upset with anyone who said anything true about their race. Those racial fights were always nasty - Next there are the fights over the women - women clowning guys for trying to hook up; claiming guys are mad about things because something is wrong with them...

... all while denying the fact that them lying (false pics, false everything) and/or being a terrible person (doesn't respnd, pay attention, or anything) - has anything to do with it.

It's sad - real sad.

In a way, Chatrooms, much like Jerry Springer, expose just how UGLY America is. Don't get me wrong; for all the rights we have... for all the opportunity that exists, it's better than many places on earth; But truthfully, this land and it's people could be So Much Better - We could be better to each other, and to our Neighbors, and also to the world we all inhabit.

We could be Leaders, taking the world and all of it's people into the stars, into the right direction, into peace and all that jazz...

But instead, we are not.

We are often contributing to the problems of the world; which brings me full circle, to discuss how women have contributed heavily to the problems of Chat Rooms.

What do men do in chat rooms? Look for sex; Ask women if they wanna meet up, to have sex; Some may use different words. Some work faster than others - some get to the point faster than others, others prefer to take their time. Some guys go further, using webcams to expose themselves - Some women like it - most claim they do not.

These same women claim to not like guys trying to meet them either; and often these same women are the FAT liars who treat people like crap ... so it's not like anyone actually wanted to meet them anyways (which might be the source of their dislike...)

Meanwhile the truth of the matter is, guys do that Everywhere they go. Guys look for women to hang out with, and hopefully have sex with at bars, clubs, stores, malls, sporting events, the beach, almost anywhere men go, men search for a woman to be in their lives...

What's really so wrong with that?

When did women become so opposed to showing varying forms of love to others - when did they become opposed to men showing Them love? Sex isn't love? That argument has always baffled me.

Truth is, most people dont even know what love is. Love is supposed to be Unconditional; which means No conditions. Most of us do not Love that way; we do not view love that way, we do not treat love that way. No, most of us put conditions on love.

We say "if you love me then ..."

When real love would say, "do what you want, I still love you... no matter what."

Somehow we've gotten confused; our Ideas are all off in this country today - our views, our perspectives are not lining up with Philosophies of Peace and Love. And at some point I believe we're going to need to examine that, and figure out who Started all of this so that we can know What teachings to end, immediately!

Fox & the Media...

It's not news to me. Back in 1999 I Stopped watchin the news. I became aware of how negative the news was, and how the news was being used to control the People watching the news.

It's all about energy - we human beings live in a Humungous Energy feild, filled with positive and negative energy and we all feel it. We feel the joys the highs of happiness, the frustration and the lows of sadness. We call it Emotion. Energy in Motion.

And what most of us are completely unaware of is how the media has mastered the art of playing with our emotions. True story - there's a bit in the movie anchorman that most people do Not get. It's Sooo funny to me. After an hour of reporting on who got shot, and what went wrong; they close out with the Squirrel on water ski's.

A meaningless story at the end to sign off on a 'good note' - even though they spent an hour on every bad note they could find. This is not explained in Anchorman the way I just did, they just throw it in there; I've spoken on this here at thaShow before. Anyways, that bit is Soooo funny to me because real newscasts do the same thing.

This video about Fox attacking black america came to me through another board; and I must say that I was not shocked to see it; but I enjoyed how they broke down their tactics because they become evident when watching the Entire clips that the original video was put together from.

In the video with Obama's pastor you'll notice that Sean Hannity never really let's the pastor Speak. When the pastor mentions that they're teachings originated inthe 60's he moves right over that. He makes the comparrison that if you swap out the word black using the word white, that it would be considered racist.

It would be - and with good reason. However Hannity is using a tactic originally created by the KKK - called reverse racism. It's this idea that somehow, black people are capable of being racist.

If we look at the word for what it is, then sure - black people are capable of being racist. However, black people do not have the power to negatively effect white people with their racism, while just the opposite is true for white people who own businesses, who decide what tv show goes on the air or what music video gets in the rotation.

I'll try to stay on track here - reverse racism, was originally launched by the KKK as a counter-tactic to blacks using 'racism' as a way to gain more rights in America. Many of us are unaware of this - because the media does not care to remind any of us about these sorts of things.

The media is playing with us - they are playing with our emotions. And indeed, it's people like Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reily who keep racism alive and well in this country. Do you know where the media came from?

The Media originated from a group of people in Persia, known as the Medes - a few other names for them include the Magi or the Magik Men - Yes folks, the 3 Magi who went to visit Jesus on his birthday were these very same people from the Medes aka the media.

They are credited as being people for whom we base the word Magic - defined here in WikiPedia as Magic and sorcery are the influencing of events, objects, people and physical phenomena by mystical, paranormal or supernatural means.

Now, let's think for a second about 'what' the media is in todays society. The media is rooted in the word medium. Medium, being the vessel used to deliver it's message. The media therefor is any group that uses mediums that reach people - such as the Internet; Such as Television; Such as the Radio: and such as Newspapers & Magazines.

By far the medium that has the most impact on people in society is Television. The Internet is too spread out; there are too many sources; some believable, some not. People essentially put power and trust into different media outlets; trusting some more, trusting others less. This is how journalism got it's start; effectively winning over people, growing a fan base of readers who would follow them and their stories.

However, once the fan base was built, it became easy to abuse that power - This is today's media abusing it's power at will; although If you've ever seen "Bowling for Columbine" you'll know the media has been abusing it's power for quite some time now.

It's a great movie which speaks to how our media has used FEAR to get people in this society to do what they want done. To enforce racism the media put out 'propaganda' depicting blacks as wild uncontrollable & dangerous animals who Needed slavery to domesticate them. Much effort was put into making white men fear the concept of a black man sleeping with white women - The media went so far as to put out movies, re-inforcing these negative racist views of blacks.

What's funny is how so many people have been led, by the media, to believe that none of that still goes on today.

It was the media that gave us such images as the sambo, the uncle tom, the lazy ignorant nigger - I'm using that word for a reason - it was the Media who initially took ideas within American Culture and spread them to everyone within reach... of a newspaper, magazine, or television.

Not much has changed.

Today when the media puts out a movie about black people, it depicts black people as wild uncontrollable animals, whom white people should fear. You dont see movies about black Super Heroes, unless it's a Spoof by Robert Townsend. I guess there's Blade... but, he's a Vampire, who's actually quite animalistic in nature - fangs and all. Then there was Spawn, who was released onto earth as the leader of the Devils Army.

Rarely do you see black people in Space movies, or movies about the future; as if they dont expect blacks to be around then. No, by and large the majority of movies about black people involve violence, and ignorance.

Same goes for what the media puts on it's music stations. Wholesome black acts get some airplay, but not as much as the most ignorant black acts they can find. Why does 3-6 Mafia have their own reality tv show? A show which depicts 2 slow, country bumpkin assistants who cant seem to do anything right, who dont take care of any business whatsoever - and who's lead acts can't seem to focus on getting their business taken care of in a timely manner.

Why is there no reality show on Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, Roots, or Common???

The reality is, this is not who the media wants YOU to identify black people with. Which brings me back to the videos.

Is there still a need for churches that cater to mostly black congregations to support the development of black people in America?? I would look around at the problems black people are still facing, and would say loudly YES! There is a need.

So why is this effort being attacked, and called out as Racist by Fox??

Simple; They want to enrage white people. They want white people to vote for some other candidate than Obama; They want white people to view him the same way they view other 'racist' black people who 'get away with' racism towards white people, but are allowed to practice it openly...

It becomes such a messy issue quickly; because that Program reaches MILLIONS of people and utterly brainwashes them before any logic can get to them; Those people already trust the station and it's programs, and have an emotional bond. Emotions move them so strongly during the show that they're ready to believe whatever they're fed by it.

By the time I come along to say "hey, that's not the WHOLE truth" - it's too late!!!

The media does this with everything; You and I MUST unplug! It's ok to watch these things, but we must take back our TRUST in these stories.

Dont think for a second that FOX is the only channel attacking blacks - nearly every channel is... and has been, for quite some time. The media is always attacking something... it's constantly working to create a society full of FEARFUL people.

Look at the terrorist alert - constantly keeping people afraid of terrorism. Look at the flip flopping on foods; One week corn is great for you, 2 weeks later corn will kill you faster than a speeding bullet. Disasters get emergency coverage - whatever you're watching cannot be as important as watching people suffer in the aftermath of Katrina. (which the media took as another opportunity to attack black people, by calling them refugee's - while referring to whites as displaced americans.)

You Must unplugg! - The system is not rigged for your happiness; Living in America is not about giving YOU freedom to attain happiness; only pursue it - to chase after it - and all while you are on your journey, the media interrupts - with BillBoards that catch your attention while you're driving - cell phones which constantly ring, contstantly distract us, and why do we have them? Because the media was telling us how important they are to have!

Next thing you know they'll be fearmongering us about our cell phones, telling us they'll cause brain tumors...

Oh, they've done that already? And yet, cell phone usage has grown!

The media is a very, very powerful player - I put up a joke the other day from a guy talking about the recent news (media) attacks on MySpace - saying that it's crawling with pedophiles; Now people are afraid of the internet.

People have been made to fear the internet for a while now actually - when people first started using the net to meet others, the media put out reports of how dangerous that could be. Like a viral video word spread - to where most women would assume that every man on the net is a potential serial killer or rapist.

Therefore, the very idea of meeting a man from the net became dangerous, stupid, and just not worth the risk; Because he could turn out to be a rapist... or a serial killer.

Nevermind the reality - that most people are killed, and/or raped by someone they already know. Nevermind the reality that rapist and serial killers came way before the internet.

It's not logical to say that there's no chance a rapist would use the net to find victims, or a pedophile would do the same; But it's equally not logical to say the % is higher, that it's happening on here - when there are literally no facts issued to back that up.

But do people demmand facts? No, because we've already given our Trust to the media. Our parents trusted them, so we trust them too - blindly, no questions asked.

So when Fox attacks Black America, the average white person watching it does not feel that they are being led, or influenced to think a certain way about black people, and black issues - instead it never crosses their mind; They believe whole heartedly that these black people are just getting away with murder ... like always ... like OJ.

Don't let the media control you.

The truth - what's really happening online.

I want to start out with a good comic bit by a guy, making fun of the news' fearmongering when it comes to making parents afraid of the social networking giant, MySpace.



... a funny way to address and approach a very real situation. The question remains, "is this really a threat?" ...A discussion is taking place in our country right now about this very thing. Because our society is now facing a new, bold era - where criminals are being 'created' - harmless men lured into doing what they otherwise wouldn't... for ratings, and more profits.

Meanwhile, the real dangers and threats in our society are walking free - The family member who's molesting their young, the neighborhood rapist who's stalking kids walking home from school - no efforts are being made to prevent them from inflicting harm.

We're being asked to fear a threat that does not exsist. And yet so many are so hyped up by it, so trusting of the source that delivers the threat warnings, that they do not stop to think if they are following the right leads. Much is being said and I think it's worth a read - a very good discussion indeed.
