YouTube vids, Slowing down ThaShow

Sorry folks...

The number of YouTube videos I had on here were slowing down the load times for thaShow - I do apologize for that - one of the things I originally wanted to do here were podcasts, sharing my thoughts on different topics - but I have far too many irons in the fire so to speak, to devote the time, to create quality videos or audio recordings - So, I went with another idea I had, to share the kinds of Videos I enjoy; that I think other people can gain a lot of insight from.

I've reduced the number of posts that show up; and will keep in mind moving forward not to post So many Video Series' back to back - I've got a good one on the way called, "The Origin of Aids" that aired on Sundance Channel; I'm trying to get some of my partners in knowledge to contribute to ThaShow; giving you more to read or watch, more often. So, stay tuned for that...

But the next video series will be an eye opener; that's for sure - because it's been said for many years by black people, including more recently Kanye West in a song; and when the Rev. Jeremiah Wright said it, he was talked about like he was crazy - but He's not - Scientists Created the AIDS Virus, then told Africans to come get a Polio Vaccine Shot; which was really, a Shot of AIDS; and from there, the epidemic has spread.

Sound Familiar?

The Gov't did this before - with Syphilis; this is well known, the Tuskegee Experiment.

My White brothers and sisters need this information; SO many still believe that racism is over with; that tactics are no longer being used to negatively effect black people - They need to know this - because whatever they do to blacks, eventually effects whites also; In the end, the only color that 'really' matters is Green; but racism is often used to keep us divided; so that white people will not care about what is happening to blacks; under the guise of feeling that there are still benefits to being white - sure, it's obvious to some; but sadly it's not obvious to nearly enough white people, as I feel they are the only ones who can truly put an end to what's happening in our world.

Much more from me on these topics - Stay tuned!

More Discussions on Prop 8: Fine Line & Kokema

Some good videos, thoughts and discussions on prop 8

Part 2 ...

Some really good thoughts, by a very intelligent woman. I don't agree with all of what she says, but she raises some Very Good issues.

Below is a discussion from "Fine Line" - which is very good, and worth listening to. But first let me address some of what she is saying.

Interracial Marriage is about a man, and a woman. Gender is not the same as sexual preference. She raises the point, that it's inconclusive if homosexuality is Nature or Nurture - which is indeed the Biggest Unsettled aspect of this argument.

There is no question however, on if you're born black, or born white - born a man, or born a woman. What happens after that, generally has more to do with environment than 'genes' - sure, genes play a role ... but, that's all it does.

Why do people join gangs? Were they born a gangster?

Why do people practice racism? Were they born a racist?

Why do people practice religion? Were they born religious?

Silly questions To some I'm sure - but for some reason it's not silly to say...

Why do people practice homosexuality? Were they born homosexual?

The answer, to me, is clearly no. This was something they chose to do... often for various reasons. What people learn at home, and from experiences they have, has a great deal to do with who, and what they become.

Studies show, that wealthy people THINK differently from poor people - Different influences create different results. Men who sleep with lots of women, were often raised differently from Men who make a concerted effort Not to sleep with lots of women. Same goes for women who sleep with lots of men, vs those who do not.

What I'm saying is, People who are gay, experienced a different environment from people who are not gay. I've had gay friends ... They were from single parent homes; often raised by women, with not much Male influence.

My father gave me something very different than my Mother. It has everything to do with the chemicals flowing through our bodies; that makes us view the world differently. Men don't see all subjects the same way Women do... like sports, or shopping. Below, is a very good discussion from people who are addressing this issue further. My hope, is that you'll listen to what they're saying, and not just discard it because it doesn't fit your views; Listen, because it is possible your views are simply misinformed...

Isn't banning gay marriage the same as banning Interracial Marriage?

You're trying to impose your religion. What about separation of church and state?

Half of marriages end up in divorce, so why not allow same-sex marriages? Maybe they'll do better statistically?

Often here in America, we do not research topics - we let someone Tell us what to think on Issues. Look into his comments about Norway and Sweden; See if what He's saying is true ... or not true.

Isn't it true that kids need a loving family regardless of whether it's with a mother or father?

Why shouldn't homosexuals have the same right to marry according to their orientation?

Same Sex Marriage Doesn't Affect Me. Why should I be against it?

A very good conversation there folks... I hope you listened.

This issue also speaks to our current Misunderstandings of Gender. I speak on this often here at ThaShow, that our Relationships are suffering; our Views of Gender are off base - and this problem is mostly being created by Feminist - who just so happen to hate men, and often tend to be gay.

By undermining the Importance of Gender - many are misinformed about the differences between men and women. These Differences should not be used to elevate one gender over another, because like is the case with many successful "teams" - Not all players have the same abilities - but working Together their strengths and weaknesses balance out - and goals are achieved.

Again, this 'waterned down' view of Gender, like racism towards blacks, that All is the same, when all is NOT the same, confuses people. Men and Women are NOT the same.

So, "marriage" between a man and a man or a woman and a woman, is NOT the same as marriage between a Man, and a Woman; it's a totally Different game.

I think what is also happening is, people are Ignoring the other side of the argument. They get on the side that it's Right, that it's just like everything else, and then, they refuse to consider the possibility that its Not the same; So they Ignore any argument that says it is. It's important to Listen... to both sides.

Feel free to leave your comments on this matter below...

Gay Rights vs Black People's Rights.... (prop 8)

Message to white people: "Gay rights are not the same as Black People's Rights."

This has been the campaign message of people who support Gay Marriage; That it's the same as what black people went through.

As a black man, I personally get tired of having Everyone's struggle compared to the Black American Struggle, as if All struggles are equally the same.

People often totally disregard the Huge Differences, and simplify the complexities of Racism, Slavery, and Legalized Segregation that occurred for 400 years here in America. They Minimize what actually happened, and in my opinion lose perspective.

This is why The Black Vote in this past election was overwhelmingly in support of Prop 8, to ban gay marriage; Because we know, it's not the same.

Many white people however, are baffled by this outcome. They do not understand how we could vote in a Black President, but Vote Down the "rights" of Gay people.

So, allow me to help all of the people out there who are baffled by this, to finally understand why Gay Rights are NOT the same as Black People's Rights.

Frankly, it's almost offensive - but I tend to understand these matters spring from a general Lack of Understanding: So let us begin.

Gay People are NOT being Discriminated against. Let me explain why this is.

Gay people can eat anywhere they like. They are Never refused service.
Blacks were often NOT allowed to eat in restaurants at all, or were subjected to eat in dimly lit, small and crowded 'back rooms' - and were often given the Scraps.

Gay People can Live in any Neighborhood they want to live in.
Blacks were often NOT allowed to buy homes, or rent in certain areas. When this ban was lifted, Still Real Estate Agents would Refuse to sell homes to blacks in these neighborhoods; Many people feel this practice still takes place today, though not on as large of a scale. Gay people are NOT facing this issue.

Gay People can get any Job they want.
Blacks for a long time were NOT being hired for jobs by white people. To this day it is speculated that Racial Discrimination Still takes place when it comes to who gets hired to work in certain establishments. Many blacks become discouraged, after putting in job applications for months and not getting calls back. Gay people do not experience this problem. They are NOT being discriminated against.

Gay people can attend any school they want to attend.
Blacks, for a long time were NOT allowed to attend "white schools" - schools were built "For blacks only" which often were not as good as the White ones. To this day, the inequality in the school system is present. Kids in 'white schools' recieve a far better education than kids in what used to be 'black schools' but are now more and more becoming 'hispanic schools' - again, Gay people do not face this challenge. They can recieve a quality education, especially if they are white; and no one is discriminating against them, keeping them from learning, just because they're gay.

Allow me to take a moment to address Inequalities in the School System. This effects black people for Life. There is a Generational Ignorance that has been created because of this American Policy NOT TO EDUCATE black people.

What I'm saying is, My Grandmother was not educated in White Schools. Neither was my Father; My Mom had the benefit of being an "army brat" and while my Grandfather was stationed in Germany, she received a 'white education' on the army base. Had she been in America, she would not have been afforded a quality education. So what this means is, Entire Generations of Black people do not know about many, simple ideas in America. It creates a divide of Ideology that helps keep black people where they've been since the end of Slavery...

Poor, or living in Poverty - prone to commit crimes due to lack of education and lack of opportunities - No education means u can't get certain well paying jobs; it means you wont know how to Start your Own business - A vacuum of negativity emerges and often engulfs black people - Some escape, Most do not.

Read ThaShowOnline.com - I have discussed these issues at length. And most white people do NOT understand any of these issues, simply because These issues are NOT being addressed in white schools; It's not being discussed in the homes of white people, and when it is, often what Is being discussed are not Truths; but 'racist' ideas. Such as, If black people would just work harder and make better choices, they'd be better off.

Sounds great; and while it may be true... if black people are not being "taught" this... how can you expect them to Know? It'll take me all day to delve into this issue, but I want to get back to what we were discussing.

Gay People are NOT being discriminated against.

They are allowed to practice homosexuality - There is an entire street here in Hollywood, CA that is full of Gay Bars, and Gay Clubs - If you're a black man who prefers to date white women, there are no Streets for Interracial Bars and Clubs. If you're a man who's got a sexual fetish, a leg fetish, or a foot fetish, or a women in leather fetish, there are no Streets for Fetish Lovers, with Fetish Bars and Fetish Clubs.

Homosexuality is a "sexual preference" - You may believe they were born gay. I personally do not. It is a choice that they make. If you believe they never had a choice, then I can understand why you'd think they're being discriminated against. But also, it's because you do not realize what black people Actually Went Through.

History has been condensed for you - you have been given the 'jist' of what happened, but not the 'details' - So you've been told it's all the same, and you believe it.

You have been Lied to.

You have been Misled.

Wanna know what Gay Marriage is really about?

Money.

They want the 'right' to get paid when their loved one dies - They want the 'right' to have tax benefits usually granted to married couples. There is already something in place called "Civil Unions" that would allow gay people to do all the things that 'marriage' does; It doesn't force those who do not approve of homosexuality to accept those beliefs; nor does it put churches at risk of being sued, and closed down, which would effect it's Members, often people with serious issues who Need prayer and a place of refuge; The only thing it does not give them is ... Money.

If you really feel Gay rights are the same as Black Rights; You need to use your time online to research what "actually happened" to black people - and what many black people feel is Still happening.

Gay people do not get pulled over by the police, just because they're gay.

DUI Checkpoints are not set up in Gay Neighborhoods - resulting in gay people being sent to jail for DUI's, or Not having their Tags up to date, or whatever else the police happen to find.

Gay people are not being Targeted and Shot by the police.

Gay people are not being accused of being Unamerican, for disagreements with the way things are, in America.

Gay people are NOT going through what Black people are going through. They're just Not. I'm sorry white people... but you've been lied to. You've been mislead.

On another note...

White people... when are you going to take these kinds of passionate stances, to END Racism??

I mean, so long as you wanna stand up to end discrimination for gays, where is the effort to end discrimination towards blacks?

Even up the Schools - Change and Challenge the attitudes of white people who do not believe in Dating Black people - Challenge Hispanic Owned Fast Food Joints, that currently ONLY hire Hispanics or ONLY hire 1 black person to make it 'appear' equal. Help fight the War on Poverty (the forgotten war in America) - to fix the economic disparity between blacks and whites....

No offense white people (those of you who've been mislead and lied to) - but you can't fight for the civil rights of one group, while comparing them to a group who's rights are STILL not fully realized.

And what about Africa? A Continent that was literally raped and pillaged of it's resources (it's people) and is currently suffering the after-effects - rumors of AIDS being created to kill black people, should be taken seriously - since it appears to be affecting one race more than any other.

White people, one battle at a time... You've got to complete what your ancestors started. Once you help fix Racism, Once you address that issue, and fix it's inequalities and it's current forms of discrimination, Then you'll have Perspective.

You can then learn how to reach a compromise, that works to help Gay people, and doesn't offend Straight people who simply do not believe in homosexuality.

Good luck to you all... I hope this has helped.

Ok folks... Network @ ThaShow

Talk about a movie with some really "Great" clips!

You've seen a few here so far; oh how Relevant; and yet, for some odd reason I feel like we are in between people actually taking action; and people still laying back watching.

You're either In the game - or Watching it.

It's time to Get Mad people....

"There is no democracy"

The Howard Beale Show

Life is Bullshit

The Arabs are Buying us

the picture rolls in slow, but listen ... and watch.

The Assasination of Beal

They can't kill all of us ...

It has been said, that the Civil Rights movement died with MLK and Malcom. Read any book on Good Leadership, and you'll find that a Truly solid movement is diversified; One person cannot be the 'focus' - instead we All must be the focus.

if Everyone steps up to the plate, if Everyone is involved, Killing One, does not Kill the Movement.

For a movie made 30 years ago, the message is still so timely.

True Terrorist - Skinheads, KKK .... Al Queda? Really?

And we're back.

Some sad news to report first; My heart goes out to the family of Jennifer Hudson; So sorry to hear about the death of her Mother, Brother, and now... her 7 year old Nephew.

May God reach into your life, heal, and bless you.

And .. onto even more 'sad news' - and also, as you've come to expect from me, some Perspective. I just saw this report about a plan to assasinate Barrack Obama... a plot from the Skinheads, who's views mirror that of Nazi Germany's Hitler. ... a group that was spawned FROM the Klu Klux Klan.

When This war on Terrorism was first launched, you could hear Many black people in the community talking about how We have faced Terrorism in this country for Years. Al Queda is NOT and never has been a True Threat to our freedom - Racism has. Hatred from whites, who care nothing for black people, no matter how accomplished we become, is the true threat to freedom of blacks in America - and furthermore, is a true threat to Whites as well.

We're all in this boat together people - whether you like it or not - we MUST work together, as I have been saying for years now, to put a Stop to Racism! We MUST .... It is important that we take the threat posed by racism more seriously than we have, since the Signing of the Civil Rights Bill in the late 1960's.

Since that point, there has been a steady decline, among blacks and whites, in how Serious we take the threat of racism - Too many of us accept it as status quo, as something we can do nothing about; but the truth is, that's a flat out lie.

What if we took the same approach to rooting out Terrorism here in America, as we do in Iraq? How about we bomb all the neighborhoods that are Housing Terrorist Skinheads?

I think that would get people's attention, Fast!

I bet that would encourage more White people to not only stop being racist, but to stop allowing their Sons and Daughters to belong to racist groups, such as the Klan, and Skinheads.

White people, as the "majority" in this nation, hold the Majority of the responsibility to clean this country up. It's time for them to stop being so lazy about it, so irresponsible about it, so uncaring about it, so apathetic ... It's time for White people to do their part.

Before us, stands an opportunity to Truly turn this country around - what Bush has done with our Nation is taking us DOWN - Don't you folks see what's happening? This is not about party politics anymore - this is about the well being of our nation, our country, and all of us, black and white.

Barrack's message is Unity, Change, Coming together, and working to make the changes needed, to make this Country better, again, than any other nation.

You people must know, that when We were a nation of Hypocracy, talking down on Nazi Germany for it's racism, while openly segregating and oppressing blacks, America was not a great nation; We only became great, when we decided to live up to our creed, and provide Equality for All; We Were indeed great, for about 30 years... the last 8 have slowly begun reversing all that has happened -- slowly taking us back to where we came from.

Can't you all see it?

Our Military Resources have been stretched, fighting 2 wars that cannot be won, the way we're fighting them, against people who are NOT a threat to us; If you watched the Zeitgeist Addendum I Posted, 400,000 Americans die from Heart disease vs 70 who die from Terrorism; Heart Disease is a bigger threat to us, than Terrorism is...

True Terrorism, is the fear-mongering brought to us by the Bush Administration - it's not JUST Bush alone people; it's his entire Cabinet, his elected and appointed officials, selected to carry out a purpose - the Falling of the Empire.

And it will happen, if Americans continue to be Silent on issues that truly matter.

Below, read more about this plot broken up... but please keep Barrack in your prayers, and positive thoughts; keep our Country in your prayers and positive thoughts. Hate will NOT allow us to continue, living in the 'greatest country ever'.

ATF disrupts skinhead plot to assassinate Obama

By LARA JAKES JORDAN, Associated Press Writer Lara Jakes Jordan, Associated Press Writer

WASHINGTON – Federal agents have broken up a plot to assassinate Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama and shoot or decapitate 102 black people in a Tennessee murder spree, the ATF said Monday.

In court records unsealed Monday, federal agents said they disrupted plans to rob a gun store and target a predominantly African-American high school by two neo-Nazi skinheads. Agents said the skinheads did not identify the school by name.

Jim Cavanaugh, special agent in charge of the Nashville field office for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, said the two men planned to shoot 88 black people and decapitate another 14. The numbers 88 and 14 are symbolic in the white supremacist community.

The men also sought to go on a national killing spree, with Obama as its final target, Cavanaugh told The Associated Press.

"They said that would be their last, final act — that they would attempt to kill Sen. Obama," Cavanaugh said. "They didn't believe they would be able to do it, but that they would get killed trying."

An Obama spokeswoman traveling with the senator in Pennsylvania had no immediate comment.

The men, Daniel Cowart, 20, of Bells, Tenn., and Paul Schlesselman 18, of West Helena, Ark., are being held without bond. Agents seized a rifle, a sawed-off shotgun and three pistols from the men when they were arrested. Authorities alleged the two men were preparing to break into a gun shop to steal more.

Attorney Joe Byrd, who has been hired to represent Cowart, did not immediately return a call seeking comment Monday.

Cowart and Schlesselman are charged with possessing an unregistered firearm, conspiring to steal firearms from a federally licensed gun dealer, and threatening a candidate for president.

The investigation is continuing, and more charges are possible, Cavanaugh said.

Debating, Sexism, Racism, Politics @ ThaShow

Tonight is the Debate between the Vice Presidential Nominees, Gov. Sarah Palin vs. Senator Joe Biden.

Should be pretty interesting to watch; as one is dumb as a board, and the other is a loose cannon bound to say just about anything.

I wanted to share something, from a local newspaper here in Southern California, "The Wave", specifically from a Column called "Soulvine" where she speaks about Community Organizing, ... my comments follow.

The Soulvine

By BETTY PLEASANT, Contributing Editor
THIGPENN AND OBAMA — Anthony Thigpenn, the founder and executive director of Strategic Concepts in Organizing and Policy Education (SCOPE), is what Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama was — a community organizer. Anthony Thigpenn is what Republican vice presidential candidate Gov. Sarah Palin so publicly derided among her reactionary cohorts — a community organizer. She mocked Obama and belittled his work for having been what Anthony Thigpenn is — a community organizer. Palin’s performance was a civics textbook example of the difference between the Democratic Party, with its penchant for empowering the people to change their lives, and the Republican Party, with its patronizing philosophy toward the people and its insistence on maintaining the status quo.

Back when the Democrats ran Washington and passed the 1964 Economic Opportunity Act, we in Los Angeles had a whole lot of Obamas and Thigpenns operating throughout the region. Pressed by the urgency of the 1965 Watts Riot, the Neighborhood Adult Participation Project (NAPP) was created to implement the new attitude in the nation that individual residents must organize and actively participate in the political and institutional decisions that affect them. NAPP’s mission was to carry out the national mandate to achieve “maximum feasible participation” by residents in those decisions.

NAPP established 22 “outposts” in targeted poverty areas that spanned the Southland from Wilmington to Pacoima and from Venice to Los Nietos. These outposts were manned by hundreds of community organizers who canvassed and cajoled residents into forming groups and attending meetings and forums where they were shown, taught and convinced that, together, they had the power to improve their own lot by making their elected officials respond to their needs — needs as determined by them. NAPP community organizers exhorted residents to assume ownership of themselves.

The goals of NAPP’s community organizers were fourfold: “To provide social and psychological benefits to residents, to provide self-help and mutual aid to residents, to increase and make more effective the delivery of services to residents and to achieve institutional change for the permanent benefit of residents.” I remember NAPP community organizers well because I worked with them and monitored them and evaluated their efforts and wrote about their successes and their failures.

I knew more about what they were doing than they did. They were doing hard, groundbreaking work that resulted in significant changes in Los Angeles, including the founding of Charles R. Drew University of Medicine, the Martin Luther King Jr. General Hospital, the greatly expanded transportation system in the city, parental participation in the schools, more and better stocked neighborhood markets, routine municipal attention to neighborhood streets and housing standards, creation of pocket parks and much more.

Under the leadership of late Executive Director Opal C. Jones, NAPP’s South Los Angeles community organizers, such as the late Abie Robinson and Irene Anderson, and Nola Carter, Hazel Brown, Yvonne King and Lillian Mosley did unprecedented heavy lifting in the neighborhoods for years, as did Mary Henry at the Avalon Carver Community Center, Caffie Green on civic accountability issues in Watts and points south, and the late Marnesba Tackett, who effectively organized residents to desegregate housing throughout the city and throughout the entire public school system. These were community organizers whose passion was to instill power in the people and they did it.

The era of massive community organization ended when Republicans came to power and the emphasis shifted from what the residents needed back to what the politicians wanted, leaving us today with a mere handful of stalwart community organizers, such as Thigpenn and Marqueece Harris-Dawson of Community Coalition and Damien Goodmon, who is organizing community residents around rail safety issues in South L.A.

Councilman Bernard Parks, like Palin, is not a fan of community organizers and he has a mind to evict Thigpenn’s SCOPE from its city-owned building for a variety of specious right-wing reasons. He should not be allowed to do this.

There is So much I agree with right there.

Let me start out by saying I generally vote Democratic; although there are some platforms of Democrats that I do Not agree with; While I almost never agree with Republicans... and it seems so obvious to me, that one party is clearly more 'racist' than the other;

There is a saying that The Democrats cripple minorities with their welfare programs, that it's a different kind of oppression, that they are basically the same as the other party -- It's a great arguing point -- convincing for most who are not in the Minority.

But Mrs. Pleasant hits the nail on the head with her comments - While watching the RNC I was often sick to the stomach - I saw Nothing but white people - No asians, NO latin people, and hardly any blacks (I might have seen like 3 total) - What does that say? Does that say Diversity to you? Does that speak of a party that is really appealing to all races?

Odd thing is, I can remember when Bush was running for office in 2000 - many latin and hispanic people were voting for him, much of what I write about here at ThaShow, such as the divide between the black and latin community (which is sad, and should NOT exist) began to get real bad around this time.

Much of what I talk about here, such as coming together to put an end to things like racism, how it's up to the People to make changes, are some of my reasons for voting for Obama - His message, is my message - It's a hopeful message, that calls for action from The People.

His experience as a Community Organizer is Major - So why do the Republicans attack that, laugh at that, and mock it? I'll tell you why.

It's Racism... modern day, Closet, disguised Racism.

David Ike, in one of his talks that you can find online, speaks about a time when there was Overt Racism; He likes to discuss conspiracy theories, and talk of the elite, the methods they used to gain power, and how they maintain it -- He speaks specifically of South Africa, but the example he uses fits for America as well -- Going from overt, to covert; gives the illusion that the problem is fixed - when in reality, it's not.

I liken racism in 2008, to a Cold War. People feel the exact same way they did 40 years ago. White people, for the most part, do not like or respect blacks, and black people for the most part, do not like white people for That reason.

It's not openly expressed anymore, and when it is, it comes via a covert comment, such as the GOP Congressman, Lynn Westmoreland, who referred to Obama as "uppity" then denied that he meant it as a racial slur, although the phrase "Uppity Negro" is indeed racial, and that is precisely where he was leaning.

I remember being in school, most students hated History class. I dont think that we're able to truly appreciate certain subjects while we're so young - such as History, Math... when we're 11, 12, and 13 years old we have no real idea of how relevant History is - We should be teaching kids other subjects at that age, preparing them to handle topics like history and math better; helping them to understand their importance, for a few years, before teaching the class to them.

Here is why; Due to the lack of education about racism, most white people do not realize it when it's on display. What they would view as not racist, often is racist, and the lack of understanding helps keep this 'cold war' ongoing.

Covert Racism, allows Rudy cross-dressing Juliani, to bash Community Organizing - it allows Palin to use the same talking point, to put down people that are trying to Organize the people most effected by Racism, and Legalized Segregation.

Most white people fail to understand the True impact this had on blacks - and frankly, Most black people fail to understand the True impact as well - We forget, that the black community was purposely Disorganized; that Organization went against the plans of segregationalist, who did not want to see black people succeed, ever. Hence the term Uppity Negro, which was used by whites to mock blacks that wanted to progress - and was then filtered into the black community, as a way of dividing blacks - where cynical blacks would mock their own, feeling that blacks could never progress, without 'trying to be white'.

This historical context is lacking in Most people, black or white, because we as a society do not properly prepare people to understand the importance Of history.

I know one of the original Crips personally, and he Told me and a few of my friends about the very beginnings of this gang; originally, they were like the Black Panthers, a Political Group seeking to improve the conditions of black people in America, seeking to uplift black people and.... Organize the Community.

Once again the lack of Historical Context leaves both blacks, and whites, totally unaware that All programs like this were targeted by 'the powers that be' and dismantled, discredited, and destroyed. This includes the Crips, and the formation of the Bloods.

This is not a simple subject, like many white people view it to be, there are many Variables that go into Segregation, Oppression based on Racism -- it's dynamics include the usage of poverty and refusing to provide Adequate Education to blacks. What it creates are Desperate people, who are willing to do Desperate things.

Such as, selling out black people.

There have always been black people willing to sell out other blacks, for a better life, for "the American Dream" ... a car, a house, peace of mind, the pursuit of happiness.

Enter, informants, and spies, paid off by 'the powers that be' to accomplish one goal; To dismantle the groups seeking to uplift the Black Community. So, Members of the Black Panther Party begin spreading rumors, lies, in an attempt to discredit leadership, to cause in-fighting, even to go out and commit a few crimes, in the Name of the Black Panthers - giving cause to the gov't, to go after it's leaders, arrest them and bring them down.

In the case of the Crips, what happened was the same, only different. Two members got thrown out for attempting to discredit the organization - and instead, formed their own group, which would continue to discredit and throw jabs at the other ... war of words breaks out ... escalating eventually to acts of violence ... This other group, is today known as The Bloods - they killed a crip, so a crip killed a blood, and now, 30 years later, Many black people have gone to jail, have died, or have been wounded severely over this nonsense -- and the Community is in total disarray.

The Crips and Bloods, in my opinion have the Most Power in the Black Community to help change and improve things For the black community. However, right now, they're misguided, misdirected, and simply taking the Black Community in the wrong direction.

Sometime in the Late 90's, being a "thug" became cool - more and more blacks began to delve into 'criminal activities' as a status merit, a way to receive props, as the 'most thuggish ruggish' ... and the Republicans want to Mock Community Organizing?

How else will the black Community rebound from all the horrible situations that have put them where they are? If you ask me, Community Organizing is what black people need most! And while we're at it, White people too.

At some point in time, Someone, or a group of someone's, need to come together to re-educate white people about the True effects of racism, and the role they need to play to help clean up America, to make it better, and stronger for us all.

Why? Together we stand... divided we fall.

Like our Economy is doing - we don't have a voice right now because we're too divided as Americans. You don't like me because I'm black; so you reject my ideas, no matter how solid they are. In the end, You lose Your job, your house, and eventually Your country, all because you refused to do the right thing, regardless of what your grand-daddy believed in.

You see, an America where everyone knows how to prosper is an America that doesn't have the kind of poverty that it is -- which means fewer desperate people willing to do desperate things -- which means better and more improved workers, employers, and employees -- better products, better service, a Happier more united society... Utopia is not as far fetched as we've been "Led"ucated to believe.

Fear Grips the White Community (Racism)

I was speaking with a white lady yesterday and she said a few things that made me look at this racism issue a slight bit differently. It came to me, that White people are Afraid to challenge the racists in their community.

Kind of like how Black people are Afraid to challenge Gangsters to live better lives, to stop selling drugs, to stop killing one another and endangering others in their communities, White people are also, the victims of Terrorist within. They're known as Skinheads, and the KKK.

New, Nazi's ... right here in America.

Not only do these people despise anyone who's not white, they hate any white person who's not full of hate for non whites, like they are.

Not only that, they harm, injure, and hurt other white people who do not conform to these racist views. So while in my opinion the Biggest Cog that needs to be fixed in the racial problem, is to get white people to stop hating and disliking, disrespecting blacks; White people, (who aren't racist) are quite possibly Too Afraid to do it!

It was a timely conversation, after having listened to David Ike speak on how we have given away our freedom, how we have given away our rights, how we have conformed and allowed Others in our community to Police our behavior, our ideas, and our actions - and I thought, This is It!

This is a great example of exactly what's going on - Racism is silly, stupid, primitive, but ... we have Too many people enforcing it - and THEY Need to be stopped!

... for the sake of us all.

Who's going to have the courage to fight the fights that need to be fought?

David Ike - 1996 - Turning the Tide

2 hours of pure Knowledge - from David Ike, talking with a group of people 12 years ago; I love how simple this guy makes very Complex issues; and I share this as a thinking device to Understand much of what I speak on here at ThaShow - there is far too much brainwashing, too many conditioned people, who are totally Conformed to what 'society' says they should be.

From racism, to finances, legal issues, our views on these subjects, need to be Changed - before it's too late!

Spread the word - and check this video out again @ this link here.

It's long, so keep track of where you are in case you cant sit through all 2 hours; Just make sure you, eventually, no matter how long it takes you, watch ALL of this video! You will thank me later!

Re-thinking Black

It's time to re-think what it means to be black.

For All Americans, especially Black Americans, and even more especially, White, Latin & Asian Americans. It's time we really re-examine our Ideas about race, and our entire approach to these subjects.

Why?

Because we're not truly getting anywhere.

I talk about this often, but racism is rampant on the internet; It's everywhere - all but confirming the theory that racism has simply gone 'underground' - as David Ike puts it, Racism has gone from being Overt, to being Covert - and over the years many black people have expressed their feeling that racism is still around, it's just more 'in the closet' - blacks are not being called Nigger to their face anymore - but still get treated as if that's what they are.

I've posted videos from Elaine Brown, who really did a fantastic job in talking about how things were, then compared them to how things are, to show that not much has changed at all.

Over at ThaClub, I used to say often that racism is still with us today; The only thing that changed were the laws; the ideas were never changed or challenged.

And so, this brings us to today - where 'being black' is often expressed as the Opposite of being white; HBO has a great series on, "The Black List: Volume One" ... looking forward to the other volumes, but in part one a great case is made for the true Diversity of Black People.

It's time for black people to realize, that no matter what you do, you're still black. Even if you listen to rock music, surf, rock climb, go camping every other week, wear sandals, or any of the things that would typically be considered 'white' ... like speaking proper English ... you're still black.

And it's time for Whites to realize, that support of any type of Medium that promotes Only Negative aspects of black 'culture' - that promotes the Lazy, Ignorant, Nigger themes that were created long ago by white people, is a Bad Thing.

The view cannot be, "that's too uptight" - No... truth is, "That's too insensitive" - Black people deserve to be shown the same respect as the Jews. Media often jokes about the Jews having lots of money, running the world, and so on - and often You'll hear people come out saying, "That's racist, anti-semetic ... and so on."

I WISH the media was making those kinds of jokes about black people.

If you're a white person, is it really so hard to understand, that black people do not all belong to gangs, that not all of us speak like we've never read a book, that not all of us have 'bling' in our mouth, that the constant barrage of stereotypes in movies, music, and the media, are in no way uplifting the black community - and might, just might be a reason for the ongoing problems in the black community? That when young kids live in areas where the schools are poor, underfunded, the facilities are old, the teachers are unqualified, that when they look for success it's not in their homes, and instead they see it on TV, as a rapper who talks of glory, from drug sales - that they may be easily influenced by that type of message?

Is it really so hard to understand?

Division, and Separation is not the answer. We need to come together; but in order to do that, we must understand one another.

and now... a lil entertainment :)

Cracks me up

This photo ... is too funny

I remember when I first saw the trailer to this film, and I was immediately cracking up over the idea of Robert Downey Jr., playing a black guy.

lol...

Blackface anyone?

Another thought I had ... was how long before people get up in arms over what is, apparently 2008's version of blackface; It's comedy though, so let's all have a laugh right? Let's not be so uptight about this kinda thing... nevermind that white people have been making fun of blacks for centuries; You black people just need to get used to it, and get over it (my favorite over-used racist phrase ever.)

I mean, it seriously IS funny; I'm not even being sarcastic about that; I still have not seen the movie and probably will ... wait for the dvd ... er... for it to come on cable; Unless I happen to be around someone who's got the DVD... or who knows if I get bored enough to wanna go check out a movie :)

Because it probably is a very Funny Movie; and seriously, the whole idea tickles me... at the same time, I dont know if I want this to catch on; You know... since this movie has gotten good reviews, it means more is to come. (You heard it here first...) That's Hollywood; they're not about Inventing or even Re-Inventing the wheel; They find out what works, and they do it to death.... (Think, Comic Books to Movie, the most recent 'trend')

And really, here is my deal. If the white race, or hollywood, were doing more to improve the lives of Black people in America, doing more to reverse the effects left over from Slavery, and Legalized Oppression and segregation, tactics of abuse that left the Parents unable to properly raise their kids - which produced generations of adults, who had no idea how to parent - which has produced generational issues that are handed down like clothing from one Generation to the Next - to the present day where blacks find themselves still struggling in a country where 'other races' are excelling, and expanding.... Then I would have NO problem with White actors, doing comedy, in blackface - cracking jokes about black people. Hell, if they were Helping out... they would then "earn" the right to crack jokes.

Robert Downey Jr. Caught in a BlackFace Storm

Summary: (from a comment I made on YouTube, to a black man who does not find this offensive, and thinks people should ease up ... and again, I agree it's funny... but ....)

I think it's more so, the historical nature of black face; how it originated as a way of making FUN of black people; Then... eventually the white writers and directors found Black people, to make fun of Black people, and it's been a downhill spiral .... So if anything, while this may be funny, like many of the ManTan type roles played by Black actors today, which also are very funny ... The point is, it's all about "Making Fun of Black People." ... How long is that gonna be funny in America?

White people ought to be Shamed...

So, before I get into my commentary on this... I want you to read the thoughts of Danny J. Bakewell, Jr.... the President & Executive Editor for the Los Angeles Sentinel;

Offensive, Disgusting, Cruel, and Absolutely UN-American!
Written by Danny Bakewell Jr., (President & Executive Editor), on 07-17-2008 00:00
Favoured 4

From the moment Barack Obama became the presumptive nominee of the Democratic Party, I have been saying that this election is going to be a true test of America’s progressiveness. Well, my friends the test has truly begun.

Over the past few weeks we have seen new lows in American Politics. We have seen our own friends and family thinking they were off the mic (At Fox News of all places, you should definitely know they mean none of us any good) and make truly offensive statements that outraged us all, and caused a son to have to denounce his own father’s comments.

But now this New Yorker thing has set the world on fire. I understand and can appreciate good satire as well as anyone, but folks this was not satire this was RACISM. Not direct racism, not overt racism, but the kind of racism that plays on every unsettling fear White Americans have lodged somewhere in the back of their brains. Post 9/11, when was the last time you have seen anyone, let alone a sitting US Senator depicted as a terrorist with a picture of Osama Bin Laden hanging over the fire place. I understand portraying George Bush as an idiot (some might agree), and I have seen Bill Clinton portrayed as a womanizer/pimp but this is so far beyond satire. This is just offensive, disgusting and cruel and absolutely UN-American. On top of the ridiculous way they portrayed Senator Obama, the New Yorker has the audacity to portray a beautiful and intelligent woman like Michelle Obama (a lawyer, a loving wife and mother) as a gun toting momma, adding insult to injury.

Well friends, I hate to think it, but I have a feeling we have only just begun to see how far we’ve come and how far we still have to go.

I think we are going to have to work harder, work smarter and brace ourselves for an onslaught of attacks on Senator Obama like we have never seen before and certainly like no other sitting senator, and presidential nominee has ever experienced. But, that is just US, we have always had to run faster, jump higher, be smarter and work harder. But, lets not let Senator Obama go it alone. We must run this race with him, we must work and work for a president like we have never worked before.

Also, it is our job to stand up and defend the senator and his family from these vicious attacks that do nothing but work to weaken the political strength and power of (hopefully) our next president.

By the way, I just returned from the NAACP National Convention in Cincinnati, Ohio this morning. It was absolutely fabulous! Senator Obama’s speech was incredible and it was wonderful to just be around all of these positive Black people standing up, being counted and ready to work. Also, NAACP President Elect Ben T. Jealous was excellent. Get ready. I am confident, Ben is about to take the NAACP to new heights bridging the gap of old school organizing with some new school ideas and flavor. So, as Ben said in his speech lets all get “fired up and wret to go”.

So, whether you agree or disagree, now more than ever I really need your input. I need to hear from you. I need to know what is going on in our community. I also need to know what other stories we need to tell, and what is on your mind. I really do want to hear from you, I want you to “Talk to Danny.”

Sincerely,
Danny J. Bakewell, Jr.
President & Executive Editor

I left a comment ... it may or may not get removed; So I want to make sure it gets read, at least by you all here:

Posted by Al, on 07-21-2008 11:17,
Well said; I'm going to quote this editorial in my blog, thashowonline.com - and spread this message; I was outraged myself and in many of my phone conversations with friends, I let them know basically the same things you're saying; This cover was blatant Racism; That is NOT sarcasm, or satire; There is nothing funny about depicting Barrack as a Muslim, and trying to spin it as, "this cover represents how absurd people's thoughts about barrack are" - It does ... indeed - it shows just how Absurd "white people" are in their thoughts about Barrack; What this cover does NOT DO, is point out that it's ABSURD!!!! (not sure if that makes sense but hope it does)

In other words; it's not truly making FUN of those who feel that barrack is a muslim terrorist. It ONLY makes fun of Barrack and Michelle Obama; True satire, would be to depict White people with "dunce" caps on, and perhaps a "Thought Cloud" with Barrack and Michelle depicted this way; THEN, I'd take it as Sarcasm, and Satire - THEN I'd see it as an artist, making Fun of white people and others who have Absurd Thoughts; however, that isn't what This artist Drew; and it's sad that it seems they're gonna get away with it.

and now... for my Commentary;

Yet again, racism rears it's Ugly disgusting head; and once again, it's aimed at black people; I get SO Tired of white people who believe in "reverse racism" - Newsflash; Until RACISM goes away, do not expect black people to openly embrace you - get real about it please; Until white people (in mass) get as upset, or more upset about racism From White people... this country will NEVER HEAL!

I've said it, have been saying it, and will continue saying, that Racism can only be cleaned up, by White People.

I admire all of the black people in the news, Bill Cosby, even Barrack Obama, and many others, who put the responsibility on black people to improve their lives; I agree - and you know what else? That is a SEPERATE ISSUE.

Racism, is racism; Improving your life in a country where the majority is against you; overcoming the obstacles Of racism; is a SEPERATE ISSUE.

Let me explain.

America has always been racist; and yet, black people have found ways to Thrive; Most struggle... but some make it out; However, regardless of how poor, or how successful a black man or woman is in the U.S.A. ... racist white people still call them, Niggers.

And that's where the problem is;

The fact that it doesn't matter how much accomplishing black people do; it doesn't Change how White people view blacks; In other words ... Black People can NOT end Racism.

If every black person turned their lives around and found a way, somehow, to become rich and well educated; White people would still call black people Niggers; They would find a way to take all the credit; They would say, "they only did it b/c of affirmative action and keeping me from getting a job ... reverse racism"

So, black people are powerless to STOP Racism.

Afterall, black people are some of the most open minded, and open armed people in this nation; You'll always find a black person in an 'all white, all latin, or all asian' club; And black people are the Minority;

Some would argue it's because black people hate being black and envy other races - I disagree; I think that in spite of all the hate thrown our way, black people can still appreciate the beauty in other races; Appearance wise at least.

I've spoken in great detail about racism Online...

YouTube is FULL of racist comments on videos that deal with race; They do not respect the perspective of any black person, unless that perspective includes, hatred for black people; So how can a black person ever talk to a racist white person about their racism?? The mere idea is foolishness.

White people must take up the mantle; and fight "the good fight".

Far too many whites feel that "it's not worth it, it won't do any good" ... but you know what I think? I don't think they even Care!

Too many white people have benefited from racism to put an end to it now; Too many white people have jobs they don't deserve, or got promoted over a more qualified black person; but they're not about to admit that; they'll lie to anyone even themselves to hold onto that bigger paycheck;

What... You forgot about Mike Brown and Katrina? Here's a guy who got a BIG time job, JUST because he's good friends with The Pres... IF that ain't racism, I don't know what is. If that's not benefiting from being white; I don't know what is. Then of course comes the "what about Condolezza, and Colin Powell?"

What about them?

Are they using their positions to fight for an end to racism? Are they challenging their white counterparts to put an end to these racist ideas, policies, and practices? Or, are they more like the "good house negroes" doing the massa's bidding, happy to be in the house, instead of out on the field?

I guess white people don't know what a "token negro" is.

Since, they always point to these token negro's as evidence that they're Not racist; Knowing damn well if those Negro's were speaking out and speaking up about racism in America, they would no longer have their jobs.

Giving a black person a job, but restricting them from speaking the truth - is the same as giving a job to a white person; Neither will challenge the system; Neither will ask white people to be better; to change their ideas and views of blacks - neither will challenge the system to put REAL Help into the communities, better schools, better teachers, better facilities ... Neither will challenge the system to provide more jobs, and training for jobs in the hood - both will remain Silent on issues that matter...

... Like how healthy it is, to depict the Next President and the First Lady, as a Terrorist and a Black Panther; So I guess, slowly, White people are gearing up to turn the hate from Arab muslims... to black people - slowly the propaganda machine is going to attempt to get White people to Overtly Hate blacks again, to come out of the closet again, with their "No Niggers here" signs, and their "keep America White" signs... If you ask me, that's what this Cover says to me.

What's next? A depiction of a Lazy Negro ... Barrack laying under a Tree with a freshly finished off Watermelon and a bucket of KFC next to his Wife; both lazily laying around without a care in the world... with I don't know... the worlds problems in the background - War, rising Prices, lack of jobs... U know, ... The spin will be, 'it's so absurd how white people view blacks...'

Isn't it though?

If Women ran the World? ... what do ya mean If?

Saw a 'joke' this morning while clearing out an email address, about "If Women ran the World"... and you know what? That IS pretty funny.

Im really not sure where women got the idea from, that they Don't already run the world; Right as I wonder that it dawns on me, that we were Told this from the time we were young; We were shown that women did not have the right to vote, and used to work at home, and all of that was Linked to the belief that women don't run the world.

Lost in all of this was the "other side of the coin" - The Other view; not that women were Not allowed to vote; but that women had no Interest in Voting, Politics, and so on. Not that women were Not allowed to work; but that women at one time, preferred to be at home with the kids, providing a stabilizing cornerstone for the Family.

Now, in 2008, Women have 'rights' ... Women are 'free' ... They can do whatever they want! ... Simultaneously, The Family has fallen apart. At least that's what I'm told. Divorce rates are higher than ever, more and more kids are growing up in broken homes, with either one parent, or two parents that hate each other... can we blame this shift, on the 'freedom' and 'liberation' of women?

Ok I can't hide how I feel - This whole thing is a Farce.

Women always have, always will, and especially right now, RUN the world.

Women say jump; and its us men who say How High. If we don't, we don't get the woman; Comedian Dave Chappelle points it out best in his HBO Standup, when he talks of all the things men do, ... For women. From buying houses, to cars, it's not for us - it's to impress the women; "If men could @%$& a woman in a cardboard box... he wouldn't buy a house."

And yet, in spite of all the evidence, and all of the facts, which support this theory, that Everything men do, men do For women ... Women tend to believe they are powerless victims of controlling men; who will not allow them to Run the world.

It's amazing that this 'game' was so well thought out, that it's been able to fool so many people, on so many topic & aspects of society.

I was watching The Matrix Reloaded the other night, and that brilliant line from Neo sticks out at me - when confronted with the truth by The Architect (Colonel Sanders) - that the Whole "the one prophecy" thing, where The one comes along and ends the War with the Machines, was all just another system of Control - keeping things how they were - He learned the truth is, The machines Destroy Zion all the time, and He helps Reload the Matrix, by Free'ing 23 people to help re-build, and re-populate Zion.. and in another 100 years or so, they do it all again.

Well, Neo, in shock from hearing all of this - says ... "There are only two possibilities, either no one told me or no one knows."

All of us, only know what others have told us. Really, none of us knows anything that wasn't told To us by Someone else; A teacher, a parent, a pastor, a doctor, the news people, an Author of a book, a coach, ect... Not one of us knows anything, unless someone ELSE told it to us.

We can now look at our beliefs, our ideas, and come to an understanding, that we got them all, every last one of them, from Someone, or Something; Perhaps we experienced for our selves, that something we believed in, just was not true - Like, Santa Clause, or the Tooth Fairy - sure we were once told they were real, but as we lived we came to discover that they were NOT real at all.

Why? Because someone told us... eventually - that both the Tooth Fairy and Santa Clause, were our ... Mom and Dad.

Some of our ideas and beliefs, are never confronted as we live - Many of the ideas and beliefs we are given as kids are re-inforced as we grow older - such as this idea, that Men run the world.

Says who?

What is that based on? Is it Positions of Leadership?? ... if so, can't that all be explained? Im sure it's not the same for Every Leader but ... here in America, the People decide who leads them; So, if The People are voting for a man, over a woman, that isn't the man's fault - There are more women in America than there are men - So, apparently, Women "want" a man in charge.

That doesn't sit well with Feminist, Lesbians, and Man Haters, but .. it's the truth, I promise you. Fortune Magazine did a great article on Women in Leadership positions, covering all of the Top names at the time - and what they found was a bit surprising for some to read - That Most women do NOT want to be the CEO; Most women would much rather spend more time with their kids, and grand kids, than spend all of their time Running a company.

Leadership, is not about the Position.

According to John C. Maxwell, Leadership is Influence - Nothing more, nothing less.

The person with the ability to Influence others, IS the leader. A person who can Influence Many, will Lead many. Think about this now: In a relationship between men and women, who's got the most influence? Who's got the most ability to persaude the other, to do something that They want done? .. The man? ... or The woman?

If women ran the world... WOW ... how funny is that when you really think about it?

Web Design Blues.... Pricing, Costs, Quality...

Read a Real good article on Web Design costs today... and I could totally relate to what they guy had to say;

Everybody wants a killer design, especially after seeing one that they lust over. Problem is, nobody wants to pay for it.

Here is my comment on his article...

I totally agree with everything you said.

Recently I was contacted by a lady, representing 3 of her sisters, and they want (wanted) a Really Nice site that allows them to sell items; Not only that, they want the process completely automated, which means finding a Drop-Ship Company to do two things: 1. When an order is placed on the site, it notifies the Company and then 2. The company sends out the order to the customer.

Now, my Base price for a design is around $1,000 - that's extremely simple, but nice, professional, and effective; for a CMS (depending on how complex) we're talking $250 - $500 ... For R&D ... when customers want something like automated, intergrated, Drop-Shipping ... tack on another $500.

Then you include Flash, for Logos, Banners, adding animation and sound to the site (something else they requested) - and my numbers were up at around $2500 total; I told them I'd do it all for $2,000

Know what they told me?

Way Too high.

lol... So yea... People do want killer sites; they just dont want to pay for a killer site.

that has been the Only stumbling block in this profession; finding people who Understand that if they want to build a brand online, a business online, they have to Commit to it - it can't be something you stick your Toe in the water on,... U gotta Jump In.

Not only that... You've got to be willing to Invest in Quality, to get Quality in Return. People aren't gonna buy stuff from a site that looks like it cost $10 to build.

People are simple - they'll see a crappy site and think "crappy products" - even if the products are good; So Good Products need Good representation; it's just too bad Most people who start up a business don't seem to grasp this idea. Enjoyed reading this article, many props your direction, and good vibes; good luck with everything.

Who knows, I thought someone out there may enjoy reading that. Who knows, the ladies may come to their senses and realize that a Real business takes Real Money to invest; but that what I'm asking isn't really all that much.

This does tend to be a common problem with people - When I was in Network Marketing, I was showing people a business that, if taken seriously, and with a lil luck, Could help them earn $5K - $10K per month - for an investment of $500.

Tons of people said, "that's way too much money"

People want to make money - but people don't want to earn it - and people certainly don't want to invest any money to make money; The real truth is, Most people just want to Clock in and get Paid to Show up.

It's a common theme in the workplace; People who hardly work, rather than work hard. People who blog at work, chat at work, myspace at work, talk on the phone at work, and you know, do just about anything while at work other than WORK!

Fat, Lazy Americans... :)

Life must be pretty good out here... pretty good indeed.

In the Business and Professional world, we call this the "Employee Mindset" - Nothing is really wrong with this type of thinking, unless you're the boss - and you're paying people to do, nothing ...

This only becomes a problem for People who want to start a business - but have no training on what it takes to be a business owner; specifically, How to THINK like a business owner. "Business Owner Mindset" ... is the total opposite of "Employee Mindset".

Employee Mindset feels things are Owed to him or her - simply because they're an Employee - meanwhile, they feel no responsibility for the success (or failure) of the place that employs them.

Business Owner Mindset feels that they Only deserve what they've earned, and worked hard for; You would think all people would understand that, whether they've owned a business before or not; the truth would Surprise you however.

While in Network Marketing, often I would find that people who DID invest $500, felt that because they put money in, money should come back; This isn't the Stock Market... and even there you have to put your money in the right place (stocks that are going UP in value, not going down) - Even there you have to monitor the market, and move your money around; You can't just let it Sit .... unless you're a Long Term investor, which of course is a completely different ball game, where most do NOT expect to make money right away.

If one did, simply put, they are a fool - or at least, they're not educated in Making Money in the stock market; Same applies to employees that want to run a business; They have the 'desire' to be independent but unfortunately do not have the Knowledge to make that a reality.

When the ladies informed me that my price was too high, I wanted to tell them that it's clear they have not been investigating this or researching web design fee's. I'm honestly not even sure they Should start a business because it doesn't sound like they have it all together; from a Mindset standpoint.

I'm even contemplating doing that more often when people come to me wanting a website for their business; only problem is not all people handle the truth very well; Recently I was setting up a site for some people, who's business plan was ... well, Crappy.

They wanted a Social networking site, but wanted to charge for it; much like e-harmony; the problem is, sites like those cost LOTS of money to develop; Meanwhile, they were spending money on things they did not need - not taking my advice when given; and they ended up going bankrupt, and losing the site entirely - in fact they bought a pre-built social networking site from some other company, which charged them an arm and a leg for a site that looks like TONS of other people's sites...

Classic case of uninformed people, making uninformed decisions.

Business Owners, take the TIME to find out what they need, and don't need; they dont make rash decisions; and they certainly don't do something "because of cost" - They don't ignore cost either; It's not smart to spend LOTS of money on something, Just because it cost a lot of money; Price doesn't 'always' mean Good investment....

But... that's life - and hopefully people reading this, who want to own a business, or who want to own a website can learn something from what I'm sharing here ... that if you want to get into this game, you must Get all the way in; Take it seriously, and take the TIME to know what you are doing. To avoid making costly mistakes that will land you where you don't want to be.
