More Reaction ... on Racism in America

If anything, the recent blow up exposes the truth about racism in america. Especially the reaction on YouTube.

It exposes what I have said for years.

White people are just as racist today as their grand parents were. The white people who claim 'not to be racist' - in my eyes, just are not doing enough. Many are not doing anything at all.

So the guys victimized by this Racist bigot went on CNN to discuss their feelings about this matter...

Here's the apology from David Letterman...

Sienfeld and even Letterman is laughing. Eventually Sienfeld does tell the audience to stop laughing... But I dont know. This guy doesn't seem to really apologize in a responsable manner.

He claims that he tried to diffuse it - and has the nerve to say, "i'm not racist"

He says it's up to the afro-american community to ensure that this doesnt' come about. How exactly are blacks supposed to stop whites from calling blacks niggers?

....

more reports... from the Today Show...

Live from the next day At the Laugh Factory ...

No wonder there are No Blacks on Seinfeld.

I wasn't surprised to see the film of Kramer, aka Micheal Richards going off at the Laugh Factory in Hollywood. I wasn't surprised at all.

I'm going to include it at the end here, but I wanna include a video from a black man on youtube who in my opinion, does a very good job of expressing just what's on his mind, when it comes to Micheal Richards.

Chat Rooms

When I finally got around to watching the video, it simply confirmed my original thought. When I heard he went off on Two black guys, calling them Niggers, over and over, and that in no way can he argue that he's not racist, no way he could excuse his actions - Something told me it was pretty bad.

Then I saw it.

I was not shocked - I was not surprised. I have been experiencing this for a number of years in Yahoo and AOL Chat rooms. White people have been saying the kinds of things Micheal Richards said on stage, in chat rooms for years. And immediately after saying it, they follow it up with 'I'm not racist'

Micheal Richards does the same thing; Goes off on a racist tirade, saying things only a racist person would say - then goes on David Letterman and says, "I'm not racist."

As the young man conveys in his Vlog on this situation... The things he said are the things white people say in private - in chat rooms because of the anonimity - amoung each other.

I am quite sure there is tons of stuff said in the privacy of black families & friends - things that are downright, Racist.

But again I state, that black people are only racist because white people are racist. I've written about this topic for Years over at ThaClub - and did so before here at ThaShow - My idea, My opinion, is that if we ever want to solve racism, and or improve relationships between our races - White people must act first.

I've explained why that is in the past, and will do so again.

White people started racism. They started it for the benefit and elevation of their race. When I say that 'white people' started it, this does not include every single white person on earth living today... or does it include 100% of their ancestors.

It was indeed a small group of white people who started pushing the idea - and it was the masses of white people who followed the idea, supported and nourished the idea, grew the idea into a culture of it's own. That "culture" is a great word.

When I think of Culture I think of a group of Plants... a Culture.

What is it about those plants that stands out to me? The fact that they were cultivated. A process which just means they were nourished from seed to full bloom. They were planted in the soil and watered so that it could grow - they were placed in an area where sunlight could reach them.

And this is in fact what a Culture is.

Black Culture is the result of what's been grown or cultivated over many, many years. So is White Culture, or Mexican Culture. So many peole want to Hold onto their Culture, without realizing that often it is not Their Culture that they are holding onto. They are holding onto the cultivation of someone else. They are cultivating a culture, that is based on the building blocks of another.

And sometimes, we need to dig the plants up, and start over.

Starting Over

It saddens me, that the majority of white people will not look at this issue in a fair manner. That so many will come to the defense of Micheal Richards, and say he was just angry and made a mistake, but he's not racist.

What's with the constant excusal of white racism in 2006?

Are any white people racist these days? Or is it really just in the imagination of the black race? Are black peole really so un-intelligent that, they dont know what racism is? I mean afterall, none of us were slaves.

As I mentioned, I've been dealing with racism in america, online for many many years now. Most of my fights, arguments, and debates have been held in yahoo chat rooms.

Often I wish that there were more black people online to read the thoughts of the Majority of white people. I emphasize Majority because I've also come across a few white people who really truly are not racist. But I am sad to report that it's a handful.

Literally.

I have probably met 5 white people in 12 years of using yahoo chat rooms - who are not racist.

Many of you may think I'm exxagerating, but I'm not. I wish I was. We are not currently moving in a direction of a more enlightened, intelligent, American Population. In fact, we are digressing.

Racism has never been dealt with properly - In my opinion I feel our schools have done a terrible job of educating people on just what racism is. I'm shocked to find that so many people, black or white, have no clue what it means to be racist.

I've defined it for people in the past - visited dictionary.com to give people the meaning of the word, so they can see for themselves what it includes.

It includes the belief that one race is superior to another.

Micheal Richards said "That's what happens when you interrupt a white man." - as if his Race makes him superior to blacks. As if his words were justified, simply because the people he was saying it to, were Inferior.

The definition of racism includes, Predjudice & Preference based on race.

Yes... dating someone speicifically for their race, is racism.

Whether you're a black person who only dates black people, a white person who only dates white people, or a black person who only dates white people, you are praticing racism.

If you only socialize with people of a certain race - you are practicing Racism.

Friends ... how many of us have them?

Which brings me to television shows that do not Cast black actors to play roles - or who cast FEW black actors to play roles on their shows. They are futher endorsing racism.

Take a show like Friends...

This show recieved all sorts of praise while it was running - but there was also talk of how blacks were Missing in Action from it's storyline. Finally after years they bowed to the pressure, and allowed One black girl to get a brief dating stint on the show with one of the main characters.

Talk about an unrealistic storyline.

Here's a show about 6 white people who dont' interact with anything but white people - and suddenly, one of them is in love with a black girl. Ok I'm sorry but, that just does not happen.

Every black man I've ever known who dates outside of his race, has always socialized with other races & always exhibited an intrest in other races. The one's I've known were raised around other races; went to school with other races.

Meanwhile, every black man I've ever known who Only dates black women - for the most part spent the majority of their lives growing up around & socializing with nothing but, or mostly black people.

What does this tell me - or anyone with common sense?

If we don't socialize with other races - we can never Love, other races.

The system of segregation that was put into place in this country, is still very much in place in this country today. That system is partly responsable for maintaining our american "Culture".

The American Culture, by and large IS racism!

How did America become the most powerful country? 200 years of FREE labor. That's how. And while it was wrong, while it's often renounced in our schools, not enough is said about just how BIG of an advantage this was for this country. Not enough is said, about how soooo many white people went along with it, and fully supported the idea as a way of life, even how things Should Be.

So many white people today don't want to hear about the past. Many of them argue that it's got Nothing to do with today. However, what we fail to realize is this. Many of the people holding the keys to the doors of opportunity are white.

And if white people still feel that blacks are niggers, and that we "should" view ourselves as inferior to whites, then whites will continue to treat blacks in that manner. And so long as that continues....

Houston, We have a problem.

That is why it's up to white people to save us.

Sucks.

I have a few borderline militant black friends who hate it when I make that suggestion. The natural reaction to the racism, and oppression that blacks have faced, make the mere idea that we need help from the white race to straighten out racism is annoying ...

However, I don't see it that way.

The black race is more than capable of uprising, and overcoming the lingering effects of slavery & segregation. But it's a difficult climb with so much re-inforcement of "nigger mentality" in movies, and on the radio. Constantly the 'culture' of black people is being nourished, by white owned movie production studios & record companies. Constantly the image of what it means to be black is being created by whites ... who view blacks as Niggers.

And if you are an actor, actress, or entertainer - and you want a job in that industry, your choices are to Wait on roles that positively reflect the black race... or take what's given, so you can pay your bills.

Where are the white people to fight what's going on? Where are the white people to stand up and demmand a better representation of blacks in film and in music? Where are they? ...

They're standing in line to buy the new Lil Jon CD & the new Ying Yang Twins compillation. That's where they are. They're in line, supporting the racist ideas.

And I dont think that most white people even realize, that that's what they are doing; Because they're not being taught what racism is. So they dont recognize it when it's right in front of their eyes. They don't realize how influential what we SEE is on what we DO. They don't think twice about the possible effects of movies which contantly depict black men as thugs and criminals have on young black people.

They just figure, 'Well if a black person was willing to play the role, then it must be true.'

What happened??

How can a white person convince themselves to utter the words, "Micheal Richards is not racist" ...

It's simple.

We are truly a dumbed down society. That's how. Only a dumb person can utter words like those, and believe that he is not lying. I mean, they've gotta sell themsleves on it first, before they can sell anyone else. So, they truly believe that there is nothing wrong with what the guy said.

Plus, don't black people call each other nigger all the time??

If we were living in a more intelligent society, people would question themselves before uttering such nonsense. Sure, blacks do refer to each other as niggas... but the Intent of the word is Different. Often that is discounted; again, only a dumb person would Discount the Reason for why people do what people do.

When a black person see's another black person, and calls him or her a nigga, it's a sign of equality - a similar shared path or experience in life - it's a term of endearment... a terrible term perhaps, but that's what it is.

When a white person calls a black person a nigger - they're not referring to equality or a shared experience - No, they are suggesting that the black person is Inferior to Him or Her. Not as good as one of them.

The Intent is different.

And that's everything. Kramer wasn't calling those two black men niggers because he felt One with them. He felt Superior. He even says that 50 years ago his race would hang black people upside down for making those remarks in the crowd.

wow... how do people convince themselves that this guy isnt' racist...

Easy, they just Discount the reasons for why he said, what he said.

Read the comments... again it's the Internet. There is anonimity. Just read what white people are saying. It's riddiculous.

I mean - does anyone see the connection yet between Hollywood's racism, and the racism of one of it's biggest stars? From one of it's biggest shows? How many other people on the set of Seinfeld share his views? Did they ever discuss blacks in this manner amoungst each other?

Does Jerry Sienfeld also call black people niggers? What about Julia Dryfues? Or the bald guy, Jason Richards... We'll never know I suppose.

There was a time when white people were openly racist - They grabbed the microphone and expressed how lowly black niggers are. Today, it's taboo to do that. The real sin today is Expressing it publically - while there seems to be nothing wrong with Thinking those thoughts, and/or sharing them online in anonymous chat rooms or blog boards.

See, it's the white race who's keeping the torch of racism going. And its up to THEM To challenge each other to Stop the Hate.

Sure, there are black people who hate whites, just b/c they're white - but also because of what white people seemingly stand for; and that is the oppression of black people.

So, instead of taking a so what attitude to it, white people need to take some Pride in what it means to be white, and re-define it through their actions. It's time to STOP racism.

And it's a Pipe Dream if you think all races have equal clean up to do, which is what most whites express to me. That, all people need to clean up their racism act. That there are blacks who are just as racist, and they need to stop aswell, or else white people have no reason to stop.

And I think that's totally backwards. Totally.

Again, we're discounting WHY!

For over 400 years now, blacks have been asking whites to treat them with fairness and dignity.

Until that happens...

Blacks will keep asking for it.

And until that happens... the culture of racism will continue to grow, and worsen - and the cloud of ignorance will continue to darken our skies...

Whoa... My apologies

Didn't mean to post that 4 times. I just noticed it today.

Anyways I edited thaShow and now it's where it should be. One great ode to the new number 24, Kobe Bryant.

And Speaking of Leadership..

This one is almost 50 minutes long; Take the time... you'll find it was time well spent.

Run out of time? Come back later and pick up where you left off.

tell others about thaShow, so they can see this too.

Leaders... you are needed. Now and Forever.

Leaders are Readers, and Readers are Leaders.

You may have noticed that I referenced a link to KTI Books - when talking about the two books I'm re-reading. Well that's beacause those are the Top Books that I recommend you reading today. Another one of those books - also by John C. Maxwell is about leadersihp.

I found a really cute, funny, and entertaining while strangely effective re-telling of a chapter from this truly phenomenal book, "The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership"

Good stuff huh?

So yea, leadership - what a great topic that is. The world is always in need of them; In fact I'd argue that they're always with us, ever present - leading us in one direction or another.

Reading books like those can really give one tremendous insight on what it takes to be a leader. For anyone who's actually in a position of leadership now who truly wants to take their leadership game to the next level, I highly recommend reading that book.

It makes mention of great leaders, like Jesus... people followed/follow Jesus. That's true leadership right there. It also talks about Jack Welch, and other great leaders who's stories are shared in a way that will make it easy for you to identify with them - and even see how you can go from where you are, to where you've envisioned yourself.

We just had an election where we put new Leaders into positions of power. Having a position does not make one a leader... its not about the title; The leader makes the title not the other way around. Which is something very unique about our gov't.

We put people in power, who may not neccessarily lead us, where we want to be led.

All kinds of reports surfaced claiming that army leaders, were calling for the resignation of their overall leader; Guess they decided to have some fun with the issue on the late, late show. Real funny video... and it begs to ask, is he being replaced with someone who can help lead the world to a safer, more peaceful place?

Let's hope so.

Perhaps the country would benefit if our leaders, the ones elected to their leadersihp positions would pick up The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership. There are some really great tips and ideas in there, that will elevate anyone's leadership lid.

In fact, I will have to re-read that book after I finish re-reading the current two.

I'll leave you with this... an interview with our current leader... goin wolfy, with wolf blitzer.

Where Good Ideas come from

Ever since deciding to incorporate videos from YouTube on thaShow to help compliment the written articles I knew I wanted to share this interview with Motivational Speaker, Dani Johnson.

I was re-reading through a couple of great books which I highly reccommend by John C. Maxwell - "Failing Forward" & "Thinking for a Change." and got some real timely jewels out of those books. The first deals with the story of John Audobon - and suggest that one great way to fail forward is to figure out who YOU are.

A good 'new' friend of mine shared an awesome quote with me recently that's been on my mind. The quote says something like, "Decisions are easy when values are clear."

It's easy to get off track in life and make bad choices - but it's easier to make good choices when we maintain a good idea of what our Values actually are. Which brings me to the good thought from the second book, on how to Think ... for a change.

As the title suggest it's intrest is in helping the individual Change. - Change is not something most people want to do; Even I would love to stay the same - but as a good mentor of mine pointed out in life, you're either Growing or Dying. The minute we stop growing, improving, and looking to better ourselves is the moment that we start dying.

Nothing ever really stays the same. So the suggestion is actually prompted by a question. HOW does one change his or her thinking - in order to change one's self.

The answer is simple. Good ideas will not come to you - You must seek out good ideas.

See, society wants us to listen to it's music, to watch it's news - to be concerned with it's world events. And while I do share those here on thaShow I try to keep the mood light with some comedy on thoses same world events - aswell as encourage you to put your attention elsewhere ... and that's what it takes to maintain good ideas, to maintain clear values of what you want out of life. You have to continually seek them out.

Often my writing is as much for myself as it is for others. So as I type that, I think mostly of what I need to do for myself to elevate myself to a higher level.

And the points that Dani Johnson makes are powerful; strong; and relevant. You've gotta be willing to invest in yourself - in the books to give you good Ideas, to change your thinking, to change yourself.

I heard a guy on the radio last night talking about the current times we're in and he reallyu put a great historical perspective on just where we are. It's real easy given the current unfolding events to think that things are getting WORSE! - But overall we've lived in way tougher times.

There was the black plague, there were Civil wars, World War 1 and 2 - the Depression, there was Slavery and a time of legalized accepted segregation and oppression - there was a holocaust.

Things have been pretty bad in our world; and some may argue that things are just as bad today as they were then. But what's really important is that we invovle ourselves, in our selves - enough to make sure that we are growing and improving and preparing ourselves to face the challenges that will forever remain with us, in this world.

Now, enjoy this awesome interview with Dani Johnson.

ahh... The Matrix.

One of my all time favorite films - but I must confess that I'm torn between the 2 sequels, and V for Vendetta.

I can remember walking out of the first one feeling like the film just spoke to me - feeling like The One - feeling like I was sent on a mission to accomplish major changes in the world around me.

The only movie that has moved me in that way since then, was V for Vendetta. I dont wanna start a revolution or anything; but I just like how the W's (the guys who made the film for those of you who aren't in the know) made their point that a revolution takes everyone.

But I'm not here to talk about that.

I wanted to piggy back on the topic from "Was the Matrix Just a Movie?" - Is it a possibility that like in the film, Agents can move in and out of our bodies, controlling us at will - using us to do their bidding?

I can't help but wonder at the many meanings that could be found in the film. Are they speaking of a spiritual possession - demonic forces taking us over making us do things we wouldn't normally do. Are they discussing the influence of television and music on our lives - of culture and society - how tradition can limit our own belief in our selves to the point that we just give ourselves over willingly and never really live.

I'll make sure I find some of my writings on rap music.

I was born and raised on rap; Loved it as a child. Today... I'm not nearly as excited about it. Yea, the beats are sounding waaaay better than they did when I was young but, what's the message?

So many people don't even care about what the message is - but on the heels of watching videos like the ones shared in my past blog - one can't help but wonder. Rap music has such a negative impact on the Black Community. Can't help but wonder if it's part of their system.

In the matrix, everything is connected. Everything is monitored - the people are literally being controlled through the images fed into their brain. They've got no idea that they are really floating in a glass tube somewhere in a Future America - that they're not really living.

I've posed this question since originally watching the film - but my first perception of the film was based on Financial reality - how what we learn in school has nothing to do with truly succeeding in THIS world. How we are really limited by the people in our workplace - the people we grew up with - family who came before us who no longer believe that it's possible to go from rags to riches...

That is, without winning the loterry.

If you missed it, here's your chance to read all about it.

... Scary Stuff. So now what?

So, that's why I don't watch the News.

However, videos like that one below, on mind control - that's scary stuff. Makes me wonder if I've ever been implanted with a chip during one of my doctor visits; and if they've used the power of suggestion on me to make me Do things I normally would not do.

I wonder if that thought crossed any of your minds while watching those videos - or if you threw your hands up 2 minutes into video #1 and said, "this shit can't be real!"

OF course, this is why I'd much rather focus on making money - on helping others do the same; on sharing ideas and philosophies about how to go from where you are now (financially) to where you'd like to be.

But the question that remains is, Get more money for what?

What would I do if I accomplished all my goals. Made Millions of dollars in my chosen profession. I'd certainly take care of my family first - build a real nice house that will last for generations and generations - an heirloom to pass on to remind my descendants that hard, smart work can pay off...

I'd pay my parents back for all they've done for me my entire life. One big check for them to go take about 10 vacations with. I'd take a vacation myself... would be great if I had a "special someone" to take that vacation with; but of course by then that special lady would've found me. That's kinda how these things work....

After the vacation - would I get back to making a difference in the world? I dont know. I mean - I try not to be political; even in this blog. Sure I share information that is a bit eye opening; but that's really the extent of what i'm interested in. I don't want to run for president; but it would be nice to imspire people who would do a GREAT job of leading america - to make enough money to give themselves a shot at doing just that.

My college room mate sent me a artical from Lou Dobbs - discussing how corporate america owns the nation; how they've basically bought out both sides of our political parties - how it doesn't really matter who's in charge; the Democrats or the Republicans - beause those 2 parties are answering to corporate America.

Who is Corporate America?

They're the guys with All the Money - and therefore, all the power. They've got millions to pour into advertising campaigns, television shows & movies. They can get their message across at ease becaue they employ millions who will do what they are told to do, or else risk losing their "good job."

They have full control over our system - mainly because 'we the people' have allowed them to. We figure it's easier to just go and work for someone else, than to work for yourself. And if you've got bills to pay and things you'd like to do Now - you're right. It's a whole lot easier.

I was at a gathering one night and someone decided to go around the room asking everyone what's the most they've made in their life. Some of my friends were shouting out impressive numbers. His point was to show that none of the people in the room were Smart Investors - or had no intrest in investing their money wisely - But when it came to me, I didn't have a very big number to report.

It's funny but for a moment there, I felt embarassed - Then I really thought about how hard I had to work to make that small amount; It wasn't much - but I felt like I earned it, more so than anyone else in the room who was most likely given their salary just for showing up.

It's harder - but it's much more rewarding; You feel good about yourself and your abilities. You feel like you do have a purpose; and even when you get off track or lose focus, you're in a better position to regain your vision of the road you are supposed to be traveling; Of course I'm speaking for my self there... but others I've talked with over the years about this subject do agree with me on the feeling of pride one gets from Owning your future and Controling your own path.

However if the majority of people would rather be Owned - because it's easier to be Owned - then what's left for me to do?

Spend time looking for those who are like minded? Perhaps.

But I can't help feeling like I wish there was more we could do, for the ones who'll be left behind, all because they didn't want to come along for the ride, to a better lived & more fullfilled life.

... maybe they've been brainwashed.

Was "the Matrix" ... just a movie?

**Important! edit as of May 7th, 2007 - The videos in this post were removed; The basis of the videos was about a program run by the CIA known as MK Ultra - the question for you is, is this real? There are many videos on YouTube about it, feel free to look into it for your self. However, due to the links I have coming TO this article I felt it was important to let you know the Videos for this post, have been removed. **

Ok ... this falls in the category of scary. This information is either true, or made up. I don't have enough information to say for sure; Sure, I can speculate as well as you can.

Just like always, my main concern is that we at least think about the information and question as to whether or not "this" is actually happening here, and now.

If it is, what could that mean? want to see the rest... ?

here ya go.

Part 2

Part 3

Part 4

... scary stuff. So the movie that also comes to mind here is The Manchurian Candidate. I've heard that they only make movies about things that are either possible, have happened, or is happening now - yes, that would mean there are distant galaxies, star wars, aliens, even werewolves and vampires...

But we are told that none of these things are real ... at least that's what we're supposed to believe. What do you believe ... and why?

and Finally...

I used to love this guy's show on ABC - I used to watch it almost religously. I can't say I was shocked when he got dumped, it was coming eventually. Moving to HBO was perfect for this show...

SO I guess people are speaking out - maybe it's still safe.

Maybe we should take advantage of it, while it's still a Right.

More from Keith... & Colburn.

another story I heard about - Rush made another riddiculous remark.

here's what comes to My mind - This is who we are living with. For everyone who hates Rush, there are plenty who absolutely love him, and take his word as Gospel.

Watch that video - Sam Sedar makes a nice quote...

"The implications of the implementation of their policies."

I'm not here to attack republicans; althought they've gotta be ashamed of themselves for loudly associating themselves with this group of people. Hey, democrats are just as crooked and lie just as much; But at least they do a better job of hiding it.

yet another reason why we need to move away from voting for a party - and start voting for Ideas. Who's Ideas are better? Who can lead us in a better direction?

Feel free to offer up your nominee in my comment box.

How Long does he have?

Staying with this theme here of who's gonna speak out - This guy has been doing lots of that. Keith Olberman, former sportscenter anchor, now big time news guy on MSNBC - breaks down the recent 'controversy' over Bush's claim, that he's never mentioned staying the course in Iraq.

Pretty entertaining video he put together.

Propaganda some will argue; Just what happened to common sense << that's the first thought that comes to mind.

Then another thought comes to mind; one that Came to me originally about 7 months ago. At one point in time, the majority of people thought the world was flat. The majority of people thought the earth would never flood. The majority said that Galleleo was crazy for suggesting that the earth rotated around the sun.

They killed him over that too.

What does this mean? The Majority is WRONG.

This idea of majority rules, is a set up for failure. If you find yourself In the Majority, you may need to re-evaluate your opinions, your beliefs, & your ideas.

Whatever you do - do not stay the course.
