The World always needs Heroe's

I just finished watching the entire season of Heroe's - the hit NBC show that I missed. See, I dont watch much television; outside of sports, and the sheild - and lately whatever's on the History Channel, National Geographic, Science or Discovery channels...

I would say a change happened in me when I was 20 years old; I suddenly started thinking differently from the people around me; I had lots of 'weird' things happen to me that seemed to be so odd that it couldn't be co-incidence.

The path that led me on, is possibly the best explanation for why I'm such a huge fan of The Matrix to this day; Because the time in my life when I watched that film for the very first time I could really relate to the main character in the film.

Have you ever felt special?

If not, you've stopped reading by now I'm sure - or perhaps curiosity has you hanging in there but for those of you who do know what I'm talking about, I think you're gonna love this series - Amazing what technology is up to nowadays. Just imagine - if you're like me and you NEVER sat down to watch one single episode of Heroes, now you can see the entire season.

I'll say this much; That show friggin rocked. That show, was off the Chain. What a fantastic story they put together, and yea... I'm hooked and can't wait for season 2 - then again perhaps I will, and I'll just watch it all online.

:)

Some very interesting questions are raised in this film; Can we as human beings expect to evolve beyond our current state? In other words, will it be possible for man to some day do things such as fly, walk on water, heal the sick, teleport or read each others minds?

Those are the very questions this seires asks; and yes that's FAR OUT there .... So far out that the masses will never even consider those kinds of questions; perhaps those questions are simply time wasters and no one, not even men should be so concerned with them.

But I suppose that's why the idea interested me when I first heard about the show; and why I really enjoyed every episode that I watched. See, I became a deep thinker.

I was never popular... at least thats how I always felt. Funny thing about Myspace though is people start dropping you emails from high school who you never knew but they sure knew you.

I was never into being like everybody else in fact during my younger years I would often do things that were extremely unique; My individuality has alwyas been important to me. I suppose what i'm getting at is... in life, some of us reach the conclusion that this whole thing isn't just for the fuck of it.

There is some purpose, some reason for our lives, and for the things that take place in our lives. And seemingly that is mostly what the journey and the quest is all about. Discovering that purpose, that reason for living - and then manifesting that into your life.

So many things have been manifested in our modern day reality - and with all of the crazy things happening every day; all of the constant changes that are occuring - I find myself wondering, Are we meant for more?

What do you think.... ?

more thoughts from me on this topic, later - but for now, I reccommend going to nbc's site and checking out their hit show, Heroes. You just may enjoy it.

White and Black Christmas

An interesting "but brief" conversation popped up at my Christmas celebration. Concerning the new movie, Black Christmas.

Yet another in a long, long line of terms which designate the color black, to mean bad.

Talk about stigma...

Oddly enough, later that night after I returned home from a quick night out with the fellas, a special countdown of all the great things we love about Christmas was on. In the list, which included great classics like "The Grinch", "Rudolf's tv special" .. yes, the claymation one - and others, there was the song by Bing Crosby, White Christmas.

When I was a little boy this song always made me wonder just what a White Christmas really was; Of course, like everyone I've been told that it refers to Snow. But now that I am a man, I do have a hard time thinking this song wasn't written to re-inforce the plans of fully injecting racism into the English Language, and the American Tradition.

Who knows really... perhap's it's nothing really.

There was Black Monday, and Black Tuesday - There's Blacking Out, being Black balled, and of course, the villian is always in black.

Meanwhile the hero is in white. Our president is in the White House; Useful information can be found in the White Pages. The White Wizard, (from lord of the rings) - White out (for correcting mistakes) - a Pure heart is said to be Pure White.

Of course for those who are really interested in this topic it is well documented and can easily be researched on the internet; I hope that's one of the things you do while on here; It's great really for anything you're interested in knowing...

Im sure there's even a paper or two written on how simple phrases like these can psychologically re-inforce an idea into the minds of unsuspecting people.

Hope you all have a happy, thoughtful, holiday season.

Merry Christmas ... from space

Just wanted to share some photos which I think are fascinating; that we have people smart enough to build space craft capable of flying all the way out to distant planets, to orbit those planets and even fire off other spacecraft to photograph the Moons of those planets...

seen here, Titan - one of Saturns moons.

Technology gave us the best views of Mars.

Discovery just came back from space... they took some pics of our Space Station.

... it's worth looking at. Right?

Thoughts on: And Speaking of Leadership ...

A few weeks ago I posted a video about the "FBI's War on Black America" - It was a pretty long video but as I mentioned it's well worth watching. It goes into great detail about our governments role in Dismantling black power movements; and movements for equality here in America.

One of the overall themes I'd like to present here at thaShow is the theme of leadership. I want to be sure that I dont spend all of my time focused on the positive aspects of leadership; I want to ensure that I point out the reality that the rules of leadership do not care about what direction you seek to lead people in.

Why do I want to do that?

Simply to raise the awareness of you, the reader to the reality that YOU could be following someone who's leading you in the wrong direction. I would like to inspire you to examine your leaders, and make sure you are following someone who's goal is to make you a better person and truly give to you or lead you to a better life.

I've layed my idea for the solution of racism out on the table in the past; I believe that the white race must take a leadership role in extinguishing the fire created by their ancestors, who in many cases can be tracked back to as recent as 1970. Many are still leading, living & influencing their following family members; Poisoning them with ideas of seperation, of inequality, and of Superiority over other races.

I feel that a person needs to understand the process - What was done to black people in america was a process that occurred over a long period of time. The video mentions an operation called, "Cointelpro" - and this operation ran for almost 20 years.

1 in 4 of all KKK members during that time were FBI agents.

That would mean the goal - to destroy black people in america - was a government led operation; and that the KKK is nothing more than their arm created to carry out the hate filled agendas of their Leaders.

It's sad, but people followed - people carried out these insane ideas - they assasinated strong and intelligent black men and women in order to strike Fear into the black community.

Today, the so-called leaders of the black community are for the most part called Leaders of the black community, by white media outlets - while most black people do not consider those to be their leaders at all.

The problem with this here is that the general white population will listen to the white media before they'll take the word of a black person to be valid and legit. So when Jesse Jackson gets up and pardon's Micheal Richards - black people are supposed to also pardon the guy ... as if black people are interested in "following" Jesse Jackosn.

So - the only solution to this - is to notify the general white population of the problem; It's my feeling that if the average white person comes to realize that it's media is Lying to them - they will stop listening. With the advent of the internet information is readily available at the click of a mouse.

Information on just how white people have been turned Against black people over a period of time - is everywhere.

I'll go so far as to say that today, the average white person who dislikes black people, doesn't believe that racism is still a problem today, and who feels that black people need to get over slavery - do not realize that those "ideas" have been placed into their heads, preached to them by their family members, for so long that it's now Unconsciously part of their psyche ...

Just like it doens't take long to think of Words to say or type in English - a language they've been speaking ever since birth. When we were young it was all drilled into us, our ABC's and 123's. It was preached to us for so long that now, it all comes natural.

That, is the process.

See, repitition is the mother of all learning; So a leader is always a teacher, and a teacher must go over lessons over and over - until the student starts to get or understand the material being given to him or her. Once they reach that understanding, the better they understand, the better able those students will be at teaching others, what they were taught.

Often I see that aswell - classmates of mine who were seen as Prize Students, the ones the teachers always liked because they Got the lessons, they turne din their home work on time, they participated in class, they "helped" lead the other students in the right direction; Often I see them go on to become teachers themselves.

That's because all Leaders are first Followers. Meanwhile, not all followers become Leaders. But the more followers a leader has, the more leaders naturally spring up to help keep those followers, following.

So, again there is a process that's in place.

If we are going to Lead this nation into a better America - we're gonna have to understand this simple idea; and realize that it's time to start a new process. We must seek to lead others in the right direction, and away from age old ideas that only cause hatred and seperation.

Meanwhile, I dont think there is anything black people can do, to aid white people in this process - i believe it has to be a white driven movement to do what's Right by humanity. Just like we see white people do when it comes to saving trees and animals. It's time to save Humanity!!!

I was watching a panel of experts on CSpan the other day - I'm upset with myself for not writing this guys name down but, He also mentioned that he'd like to see more white people address the issues of racism, poverty and inequality - It was a mostly african-american panel of writers, jouranlist, and bloggers - people In the media, addressing the failure of the media to cover Those 3 topcs - Racism, Poverty & Inequality in 2006 - topics that are often marginalized or pushed to the back of the paper in favor of stories about how Bradjalina went to Brazil today, or Britney showing off her pussy in public again.

Just a modern day example of how the powers that be, lead people away from information that can better their lives - and leave us in a constant state of "our race vs. yours" - even though most of the time it's Unconscious - it's not at the front of our minds, but is at the back - it's lingering and waiting for an issue to arise.

So long as there is no issue, it doesn't come up.

But soon as an argument or disagreement breaks out between two people, one white and the other black; it's not long before that white person's unconscious view of black people rises to the surface.

Next thing you know, while there are literally Thousands of insults that white person could use to offend the black person; Nigger is first to mind. When it's hurled all of the work that we 'claim' has been done; that we've been 'told' has been done, goes right out the window.

It's such a complicated issue that even I am ok with accepting that it must be a process. So with that being said, let us get that process under way.

D*ck in a Box...

Yea.. that's what I said.

A good friend of mine gave me the link to this video on YouTube - Hilarious stuff...

I guess NBC's Saturday Night Live is trying to take advantage of the Medium that is the Internet - a great place for user generated and submitted content. Found another video that's similar - not as funny but still kinda sorta is.

O.G. Queen Amadaila

All leaders are Followers - pt. 1

Every leader in the history of leaders, has been a follower of someone else. If you are interested in becomming a good leader - see yourself as a good leader now - or just wondered what it took to Be a leader; You must understand that All Leaders are Follwers.

There's nothing new under the sun - everything and everyone tries to be an individual and we are, however at the same time we individuals are just like other individuals who came before us. I'm not talking identically - but overall, enough to say that Kobe is just like Micheal Jordan ... who some say was just like Elgin Baylor - while others say was more like Doctor J.

Leaders of communities that "follow Jesus" - are, Following Jesus. That's what it means to be Like Jesus. And Jesus was a leader, saying come this way - follow me. Jesus stated that He was from The Father - indicating that even Jesus was following a Leader.

Hitler led people to do things that are pretty unimaginable. But he was only able to do it because of all the leaders that he had. Others following hitlers lead, doing what He was doing, and believing what he was preaching; taking his ideas as their own. They carried out a mission by following - a whole lot of following. While many of them had leadership titles like General and Leutinant. That's precisely what they were.

Whether you're aspiring to lead others in the right direction - or the wrong one - a direction to help others or to harm others - the essential aspect of leadership is the same.

Who are you following? ....

Who are you leading?

Me and My Views.

I never wanted thaShow to be about my life - or about me. However inevitably my views are constantly being expressed here. Whether it's through my desire to raise the question of if Kobe is better than Micheal (ok, that's not too important in the world scope) - or my views on racism in America, and how it effects us as a society in 2006 (depending on who you are this may not be important either) going into 2007.

As I sit here contemplating my life, I do find myself with questions. Am I reaching the right audience? Is anyone reading thaShow - do people care about the topics I'm raising?

More importantly have my ideas - for solutions to common problems - helped anyone out there?

Helping others really drives me. There's something about it that makes me feel good. In a way it's selfish, my willingness to help others often translates to an opportunity to help myself.

For many, many years now I have helped my church in giving out toys and food to families in the Nickerson Gardens Projects - today I missed out for the first time in a very long time. I wont get into why - because that's not very important. Instead I'd rather talk about whether or not "giving" to the needy helps them or not.

Perhaps questions like those are too deep - too complex to have a simple yes or no response, without debate and conversation that can lead to finding the answer, or will simply leave a gash so wide that there is seemingly no possible way to figure out what the answer is.

Human nature arises.

This natural struggle of our existence - Light vs. Dark - Black vs. White - The desire to help others vs. The desire to help ourselves.

There is so much constant Dichotomy in the works of our lives that often even I forget about the importance of balancing these two energies. A good book that I read some time ago has been helping me through this period in my life - a book by Deepak Chopra called "The 7 Spiritual Laws of Success."

A few great thoughts from the book are:

  1. The Universe is always in a state of Perfection

  2. Everything is always happening as it should.

  3. Do not struggle against the Universe.

I was watching something very interesting on History International - about sex and the bible - dealing with how Hebrews viewed sex, and sexuality, during the writing of the bible. Very interesting stuff really - in case you've never read it, the Bible is FULL of sex and sexuality. Being that much of the Old Testament is metaphoric in nature, even the story of Eve's Temptation can be interpreted in a way that's not so Literal.

Eve being created from Adam's rib - and the Snake - are both phalic symbols. Which puts a unique spin on the idea of Eve being tempted by "the devil."

It also clearly points out just how much "interpretation" has become our Religion - and I wonder just how much religion has to do with the problems of our world today. Notice I said religion - not spirituality.

I've got a DVD by a guy named Ashra Kwesi, which is his presentation documenting a very strong possibility that the stories of the Bible, originated on the walls of the Egyptian Pyramids - the show on History International mentions this aswell.

There's even a scene in "The DaVinci Code" where Tom Hanks playing the lead role stands up and shows us a statue of Isis and her son Horus - in a pose that 'remarkably' resembles the Madonna and Child photos that float around often during this time of year.

Where am I going with all of this?

Your life is yours to live as you see fit - be it for selfish reasons or be it for selfless ones. And you are welcomed to take my advice or not - My views are often controversial because they are not politically correct. Often my friends do not see eye to eye with me; and yet I often feel as if their views are not new, fresh, or inventive enough to truly Help the world we live in become better.

All in all, that's my goal in life. To be of service ...

It would be great to recieve a lavish lifestyle in return for helping others live a more fullfilled lifestyle; and yet I often find myself wondering how fullfilling my life is - and if I need to work more on ME - in order to truly help others the way I'd like to.

So while those questions remain in the air I will not struggle against the universe. Instead I will simply await for the answers to become more clear. All the while seeking to help others find clarity with questions they may have.

ThaShow is not for the slow of brain.

I remember how I first got into blogging via yahoo clubs - now called yahoo groups. A friend of mine at the time, a girl who I chatted with quite regularly, decided that we should start up a place for Intelligent Conversation. ThaClub was born.

To this day, chat rooms are not exactly a place to find people willing to challenge themselves, or their beliefs. It's not exactly a place for reflective people to hold meaningful discussions about life - and what THEY can do with theirs to leave here in peace.

And so with that goal in mind, thaClub grew - and flourished for quite some time. Conversations were deep, and were great to read. Quite a few people emailed me letting me know how much thaClub was helping them; how much they enjoyed the conversations - how refreshing the group was.

Then the internet blossomed even more - spawning more and more places for intelligent people to go and talk with each other - Today, blogging is where it's at and there are So many blogs out there that I wonder just how will I possibly reach people with mine - such an attention defecit society, with So many choices - it's a wonder we all haven't popped from sensory-choice overload.

Perhaps that's why chat rooms are full of so many dumb people - there's so much to know that often people simply Unplug because they dont want to deal with it all. Hell, I've done it aswell. I can truly say that It's a better feeling when I'm plugged in.

Things just seem to make more sense.

What if it were real?

What if Chat rooms were real...

An excellent short film - and an hilarious look at the world that is, online chatting.

SO really... who's better?

Kobe has some of the best highlights I've ever seen, and this video really shows that off. But finally I have found comparison footage...

and a more entertaining comparison... you make up your mind.

Life on Mars; Racism on Earth.

Wow - There's so much going on and So much to talk about. So I'm gonna start off by recommending that you all take a listen to this interesting commentary on race in America.

Blackface - Whiteface - Imitation & Reality

You're going to truly enjoy that podcast - I did.

It's an interesting commentary - which at times makes me question if he's endorsing racism based comedy as one way to deal with & think about the ugliness that is racism.

A movie I'd recommend which is mentioned in this podcast, and deals highly with this same subject is the movie, Bamboozled. One of Spike Lee's best and in my opinion, yet one of his most under appreciated, perhaps because of it's Strongly Controversial subject matter. Check it out - if you've seen the movie I'd love to hear your thoughts on the film.

"Assigned to write a hit TV show or lose his job, Dela plans to turn Dunwitty's idea into a lesson. Dela creates Mantan The New Millennium Minstrel Show, a spoof riddled with grossly overstated stereotypes and derogatory dialogue. Sloan, sensing the danger in fighting the network, encourages Dela to quit. But pride and selfassurance lead Dela to believe that Dunwitty would never have the courage to broadcast the show. Sloan promises her unconditional support.

Meanwhile, Manray and Cheeba, long-time friends, find themselves in front of the CNS building. Despite being homeless, they survive the mean Brooklyn streets by performing. When Manray tap dances, people pay attention. Even Dela cant help but notice him on his way to work.

Soon Manray and Cheeba are lured into Delas office with more money than they have ever seen. Dela convinces them that they are the future of CNS and soon enough they start to believe it. Much to Delas surprise, Sloan and Manray begin to forge a friendship of their own. And Big Black, Sloans older brother, makes his disapproval for Delas show and Sloans budding relationship known.

Its not long before Dela comes to see himself in the reflection of his father a man broken of his strength, conviction, integrity and principles. He has lost control of his show, his career and his life. And unbeknownst to them all, Dela has unwittingly put Manrays life in danger. All of Delas efforts have failed, and finally confronting the network, the authorities and his own conscience, it seems like it may be too late."

Water on Mars: Signal of Life?

When reviewing race relations in America - it's worth it to take a moment to consider if whether or not we should solve our problems here on Earth before taking them out into space.

It seems inevitable. Doesn't it?

One day Humans will explore space - I'm not star trek fan but space is the last frontier - and something in our exploratative curious nature suggests that it's only a matter of time before we figure out how - so that we can explore our universe.

We're doing it now, with all of our powerful telescopes, satellites, and robotic ships we've sent to mars, saturn & it's moon Cassini.

Just yesterday Nasa announced evidence of water, flowing on Mars. Over a period of 5 years an area of Mars was photographed. They've produced before & after photos; With after showing you a gully with what looks like a frozen stream of water - or ice while the before photos is showing a gully with no stream at all.

Water, is believed to be "the" ingrediate to determine Two things

  • Whether or not there is Life on Mars now.

  • Whether or not there it's possible to spawn and sustain Life on Mars now and into the future.

If Mars has water - from our earthly perspective - we can cultivate an atmosphere of oxygen - we can literally create a colony on Mars.

What are your thoughts on that? Think it'll happen during your lifetime? What do you think about the possibility that your future generational offspring will be living on Mars? ... Or the Moon for that matter.

Take a gander at these photos from Nasa - and make sure you read up on this new announcement aswell.

"Has liquid water flowed on Mars in this decade?

In June 2000, we reported the discovery, using the Mars Global Surveyor's Mars Orbiter Camera, of very youthful-looking gullies found on slopes at middle and high latitudes on Mars. Since that time, tens of thousands of gullies have been imaged by all of the Mars orbiting spacecraft: Mars Global Surveyor, Mars Odyssey, Mars Express and Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter.

During the years since the original June 2000 report, the Mars Global Surveyor's camera was used to test the hypothesis that the gullies may be so young that some of them could still be active today. The test was very simple: re-image gullies previously seen by the camera and see if anything has changed."

So many great reasons to improve our planet - our relations with each other - and our overall ability to understand and grasp ideas that will help us as we attempt to extend the reach of Humanity, to other planets & beyond.

More Reaction ... on Racism in America

If anything, the recent blow up exposes the truth about racism in america. Especially the reaction on YouTube.

It exposes what I have said for years.

White people are just as racist today as their grand parents were. The white people who claim 'not to be racist' - in my eyes, just are not doing enough. Many are not doing anything at all.

So the guys victimized by this Racist bigot went on CNN to discuss their feelings about this matter...

Here's the apology from David Letterman...

Sienfeld and even Letterman is laughing. Eventually Sienfeld does tell the audience to stop laughing... But I dont know. This guy doesn't seem to really apologize in a responsable manner.

He claims that he tried to diffuse it - and has the nerve to say, "i'm not racist"

He says it's up to the afro-american community to ensure that this doesnt' come about. How exactly are blacks supposed to stop whites from calling blacks niggers?

....

more reports... from the Today Show...

Live from the next day At the Laugh Factory ...

No wonder there are No Blacks on Seinfeld.

I wasn't surprised to see the film of Kramer, aka Micheal Richards going off at the Laugh Factory in Hollywood. I wasn't surprised at all.

I'm going to include it at the end here, but I wanna include a video from a black man on youtube who in my opinion, does a very good job of expressing just what's on his mind, when it comes to Micheal Richards.

Chat Rooms

When I finally got around to watching the video, it simply confirmed my original thought. When I heard he went off on Two black guys, calling them Niggers, over and over, and that in no way can he argue that he's not racist, no way he could excuse his actions - Something told me it was pretty bad.

Then I saw it.

I was not shocked - I was not surprised. I have been experiencing this for a number of years in Yahoo and AOL Chat rooms. White people have been saying the kinds of things Micheal Richards said on stage, in chat rooms for years. And immediately after saying it, they follow it up with 'I'm not racist'

Micheal Richards does the same thing; Goes off on a racist tirade, saying things only a racist person would say - then goes on David Letterman and says, "I'm not racist."

As the young man conveys in his Vlog on this situation... The things he said are the things white people say in private - in chat rooms because of the anonimity - amoung each other.

I am quite sure there is tons of stuff said in the privacy of black families & friends - things that are downright, Racist.

But again I state, that black people are only racist because white people are racist. I've written about this topic for Years over at ThaClub - and did so before here at ThaShow - My idea, My opinion, is that if we ever want to solve racism, and or improve relationships between our races - White people must act first.

I've explained why that is in the past, and will do so again.

White people started racism. They started it for the benefit and elevation of their race. When I say that 'white people' started it, this does not include every single white person on earth living today... or does it include 100% of their ancestors.

It was indeed a small group of white people who started pushing the idea - and it was the masses of white people who followed the idea, supported and nourished the idea, grew the idea into a culture of it's own. That "culture" is a great word.

When I think of Culture I think of a group of Plants... a Culture.

What is it about those plants that stands out to me? The fact that they were cultivated. A process which just means they were nourished from seed to full bloom. They were planted in the soil and watered so that it could grow - they were placed in an area where sunlight could reach them.

And this is in fact what a Culture is.

Black Culture is the result of what's been grown or cultivated over many, many years. So is White Culture, or Mexican Culture. So many peole want to Hold onto their Culture, without realizing that often it is not Their Culture that they are holding onto. They are holding onto the cultivation of someone else. They are cultivating a culture, that is based on the building blocks of another.

And sometimes, we need to dig the plants up, and start over.

Starting Over

It saddens me, that the majority of white people will not look at this issue in a fair manner. That so many will come to the defense of Micheal Richards, and say he was just angry and made a mistake, but he's not racist.

What's with the constant excusal of white racism in 2006?

Are any white people racist these days? Or is it really just in the imagination of the black race? Are black peole really so un-intelligent that, they dont know what racism is? I mean afterall, none of us were slaves.

As I mentioned, I've been dealing with racism in america, online for many many years now. Most of my fights, arguments, and debates have been held in yahoo chat rooms.

Often I wish that there were more black people online to read the thoughts of the Majority of white people. I emphasize Majority because I've also come across a few white people who really truly are not racist. But I am sad to report that it's a handful.

Literally.

I have probably met 5 white people in 12 years of using yahoo chat rooms - who are not racist.

Many of you may think I'm exxagerating, but I'm not. I wish I was. We are not currently moving in a direction of a more enlightened, intelligent, American Population. In fact, we are digressing.

Racism has never been dealt with properly - In my opinion I feel our schools have done a terrible job of educating people on just what racism is. I'm shocked to find that so many people, black or white, have no clue what it means to be racist.

I've defined it for people in the past - visited dictionary.com to give people the meaning of the word, so they can see for themselves what it includes.

It includes the belief that one race is superior to another.

Micheal Richards said "That's what happens when you interrupt a white man." - as if his Race makes him superior to blacks. As if his words were justified, simply because the people he was saying it to, were Inferior.

The definition of racism includes, Predjudice & Preference based on race.

Yes... dating someone speicifically for their race, is racism.

Whether you're a black person who only dates black people, a white person who only dates white people, or a black person who only dates white people, you are praticing racism.

If you only socialize with people of a certain race - you are practicing Racism.

Friends ... how many of us have them?

Which brings me to television shows that do not Cast black actors to play roles - or who cast FEW black actors to play roles on their shows. They are futher endorsing racism.

Take a show like Friends...

This show recieved all sorts of praise while it was running - but there was also talk of how blacks were Missing in Action from it's storyline. Finally after years they bowed to the pressure, and allowed One black girl to get a brief dating stint on the show with one of the main characters.

Talk about an unrealistic storyline.

Here's a show about 6 white people who dont' interact with anything but white people - and suddenly, one of them is in love with a black girl. Ok I'm sorry but, that just does not happen.

Every black man I've ever known who dates outside of his race, has always socialized with other races & always exhibited an intrest in other races. The one's I've known were raised around other races; went to school with other races.

Meanwhile, every black man I've ever known who Only dates black women - for the most part spent the majority of their lives growing up around & socializing with nothing but, or mostly black people.

What does this tell me - or anyone with common sense?

If we don't socialize with other races - we can never Love, other races.

The system of segregation that was put into place in this country, is still very much in place in this country today. That system is partly responsable for maintaining our american "Culture".

The American Culture, by and large IS racism!

How did America become the most powerful country? 200 years of FREE labor. That's how. And while it was wrong, while it's often renounced in our schools, not enough is said about just how BIG of an advantage this was for this country. Not enough is said, about how soooo many white people went along with it, and fully supported the idea as a way of life, even how things Should Be.

So many white people today don't want to hear about the past. Many of them argue that it's got Nothing to do with today. However, what we fail to realize is this. Many of the people holding the keys to the doors of opportunity are white.

And if white people still feel that blacks are niggers, and that we "should" view ourselves as inferior to whites, then whites will continue to treat blacks in that manner. And so long as that continues....

Houston, We have a problem.

That is why it's up to white people to save us.

Sucks.

I have a few borderline militant black friends who hate it when I make that suggestion. The natural reaction to the racism, and oppression that blacks have faced, make the mere idea that we need help from the white race to straighten out racism is annoying ...

However, I don't see it that way.

The black race is more than capable of uprising, and overcoming the lingering effects of slavery & segregation. But it's a difficult climb with so much re-inforcement of "nigger mentality" in movies, and on the radio. Constantly the 'culture' of black people is being nourished, by white owned movie production studios & record companies. Constantly the image of what it means to be black is being created by whites ... who view blacks as Niggers.

And if you are an actor, actress, or entertainer - and you want a job in that industry, your choices are to Wait on roles that positively reflect the black race... or take what's given, so you can pay your bills.

Where are the white people to fight what's going on? Where are the white people to stand up and demmand a better representation of blacks in film and in music? Where are they? ...

They're standing in line to buy the new Lil Jon CD & the new Ying Yang Twins compillation. That's where they are. They're in line, supporting the racist ideas.

And I dont think that most white people even realize, that that's what they are doing; Because they're not being taught what racism is. So they dont recognize it when it's right in front of their eyes. They don't realize how influential what we SEE is on what we DO. They don't think twice about the possible effects of movies which contantly depict black men as thugs and criminals have on young black people.

They just figure, 'Well if a black person was willing to play the role, then it must be true.'

What happened??

How can a white person convince themselves to utter the words, "Micheal Richards is not racist" ...

It's simple.

We are truly a dumbed down society. That's how. Only a dumb person can utter words like those, and believe that he is not lying. I mean, they've gotta sell themsleves on it first, before they can sell anyone else. So, they truly believe that there is nothing wrong with what the guy said.

Plus, don't black people call each other nigger all the time??

If we were living in a more intelligent society, people would question themselves before uttering such nonsense. Sure, blacks do refer to each other as niggas... but the Intent of the word is Different. Often that is discounted; again, only a dumb person would Discount the Reason for why people do what people do.

When a black person see's another black person, and calls him or her a nigga, it's a sign of equality - a similar shared path or experience in life - it's a term of endearment... a terrible term perhaps, but that's what it is.

When a white person calls a black person a nigger - they're not referring to equality or a shared experience - No, they are suggesting that the black person is Inferior to Him or Her. Not as good as one of them.

The Intent is different.

And that's everything. Kramer wasn't calling those two black men niggers because he felt One with them. He felt Superior. He even says that 50 years ago his race would hang black people upside down for making those remarks in the crowd.

wow... how do people convince themselves that this guy isnt' racist...

Easy, they just Discount the reasons for why he said, what he said.

Read the comments... again it's the Internet. There is anonimity. Just read what white people are saying. It's riddiculous.

I mean - does anyone see the connection yet between Hollywood's racism, and the racism of one of it's biggest stars? From one of it's biggest shows? How many other people on the set of Seinfeld share his views? Did they ever discuss blacks in this manner amoungst each other?

Does Jerry Sienfeld also call black people niggers? What about Julia Dryfues? Or the bald guy, Jason Richards... We'll never know I suppose.

There was a time when white people were openly racist - They grabbed the microphone and expressed how lowly black niggers are. Today, it's taboo to do that. The real sin today is Expressing it publically - while there seems to be nothing wrong with Thinking those thoughts, and/or sharing them online in anonymous chat rooms or blog boards.

See, it's the white race who's keeping the torch of racism going. And its up to THEM To challenge each other to Stop the Hate.

Sure, there are black people who hate whites, just b/c they're white - but also because of what white people seemingly stand for; and that is the oppression of black people.

So, instead of taking a so what attitude to it, white people need to take some Pride in what it means to be white, and re-define it through their actions. It's time to STOP racism.

And it's a Pipe Dream if you think all races have equal clean up to do, which is what most whites express to me. That, all people need to clean up their racism act. That there are blacks who are just as racist, and they need to stop aswell, or else white people have no reason to stop.

And I think that's totally backwards. Totally.

Again, we're discounting WHY!

For over 400 years now, blacks have been asking whites to treat them with fairness and dignity.

Until that happens...

Blacks will keep asking for it.

And until that happens... the culture of racism will continue to grow, and worsen - and the cloud of ignorance will continue to darken our skies...

Whoa... My apologies

Didn't mean to post that 4 times. I just noticed it today.

Anyways I edited thaShow and now it's where it should be. One great ode to the new number 24, Kobe Bryant.

You've really gotta be a laker fan to understand the significance of some of the plays in that highlight reel - but so long as you're a basketball fan you can really appreciate the in-game, riddiculous performance - Is he better than Jordan - at this point in his career?

You tell me.

Can anyone Gaurd him? Can Bruce Bowen?

And Speaking of Leadership..

This one is almost 50 minutes long; Take the time... you'll find it was time well spent.

Run out of time? Come back later and pick up where you left off.

tell others about thaShow, so they can see this too.

Leaders... you are needed. Now and Forever.

Leaders are Readers, and Readers are Leaders.

You may have noticed that I referenced a link to KTI Books - when talking about the two books I'm re-reading. Well that's beacause those are the Top Books that I recommend you reading today. Another one of those books - also by John C. Maxwell is about leadersihp.

I found a really cute, funny, and entertaining while strangely effective re-telling of a chapter from this truly phenomenal book, "The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership"

Good stuff huh?

So yea, leadership - what a great topic that is. The world is always in need of them; In fact I'd argue that they're always with us, ever present - leading us in one direction or another.

Reading books like those can really give one tremendous insight on what it takes to be a leader. For anyone who's actually in a position of leadership now who truly wants to take their leadership game to the next level, I highly recommend reading that book.

It makes mention of great leaders, like Jesus... people followed/follow Jesus. That's true leadership right there. It also talks about Jack Welch, and other great leaders who's stories are shared in a way that will make it easy for you to identify with them - and even see how you can go from where you are, to where you've envisioned yourself.

We just had an election where we put new Leaders into positions of power. Having a position does not make one a leader... its not about the title; The leader makes the title not the other way around. Which is something very unique about our gov't.

We put people in power, who may not neccessarily lead us, where we want to be led.

All kinds of reports surfaced claiming that army leaders, were calling for the resignation of their overall leader; Guess they decided to have some fun with the issue on the late, late show. Real funny video... and it begs to ask, is he being replaced with someone who can help lead the world to a safer, more peaceful place?

Let's hope so.

Perhaps the country would benefit if our leaders, the ones elected to their leadersihp positions would pick up The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership. There are some really great tips and ideas in there, that will elevate anyone's leadership lid.

In fact, I will have to re-read that book after I finish re-reading the current two.

I'll leave you with this... an interview with our current leader... goin wolfy, with wolf blitzer.

Where Good Ideas come from

Ever since deciding to incorporate videos from YouTube on thaShow to help compliment the written articles I knew I wanted to share this interview with Motivational Speaker, Dani Johnson.

I was re-reading through a couple of great books which I highly reccommend by John C. Maxwell - "Failing Forward" & "Thinking for a Change." and got some real timely jewels out of those books. The first deals with the story of John Audobon - and suggest that one great way to fail forward is to figure out who YOU are.

A good 'new' friend of mine shared an awesome quote with me recently that's been on my mind. The quote says something like, "Decisions are easy when values are clear."

It's easy to get off track in life and make bad choices - but it's easier to make good choices when we maintain a good idea of what our Values actually are. Which brings me to the good thought from the second book, on how to Think ... for a change.

As the title suggest it's intrest is in helping the individual Change. - Change is not something most people want to do; Even I would love to stay the same - but as a good mentor of mine pointed out in life, you're either Growing or Dying. The minute we stop growing, improving, and looking to better ourselves is the moment that we start dying.

Nothing ever really stays the same. So the suggestion is actually prompted by a question. HOW does one change his or her thinking - in order to change one's self.

The answer is simple. Good ideas will not come to you - You must seek out good ideas.

See, society wants us to listen to it's music, to watch it's news - to be concerned with it's world events. And while I do share those here on thaShow I try to keep the mood light with some comedy on thoses same world events - aswell as encourage you to put your attention elsewhere ... and that's what it takes to maintain good ideas, to maintain clear values of what you want out of life. You have to continually seek them out.

Often my writing is as much for myself as it is for others. So as I type that, I think mostly of what I need to do for myself to elevate myself to a higher level.

And the points that Dani Johnson makes are powerful; strong; and relevant. You've gotta be willing to invest in yourself - in the books to give you good Ideas, to change your thinking, to change yourself.

I heard a guy on the radio last night talking about the current times we're in and he reallyu put a great historical perspective on just where we are. It's real easy given the current unfolding events to think that things are getting WORSE! - But overall we've lived in way tougher times.

There was the black plague, there were Civil wars, World War 1 and 2 - the Depression, there was Slavery and a time of legalized accepted segregation and oppression - there was a holocaust.

Things have been pretty bad in our world; and some may argue that things are just as bad today as they were then. But what's really important is that we invovle ourselves, in our selves - enough to make sure that we are growing and improving and preparing ourselves to face the challenges that will forever remain with us, in this world.

Now, enjoy this awesome interview with Dani Johnson.

ahh... The Matrix.

One of my all time favorite films - but I must confess that I'm torn between the 2 sequels, and V for Vendetta.

I can remember walking out of the first one feeling like the film just spoke to me - feeling like The One - feeling like I was sent on a mission to accomplish major changes in the world around me.

The only movie that has moved me in that way since then, was V for Vendetta. I dont wanna start a revolution or anything; but I just like how the W's (the guys who made the film for those of you who aren't in the know) made their point that a revolution takes everyone.

But I'm not here to talk about that.

I wanted to piggy back on the topic from "Was the Matrix Just a Movie?" - Is it a possibility that like in the film, Agents can move in and out of our bodies, controlling us at will - using us to do their bidding?

I can't help but wonder at the many meanings that could be found in the film. Are they speaking of a spiritual possession - demonic forces taking us over making us do things we wouldn't normally do. Are they discussing the influence of television and music on our lives - of culture and society - how tradition can limit our own belief in our selves to the point that we just give ourselves over willingly and never really live.

I'll make sure I find some of my writings on rap music.

I was born and raised on rap; Loved it as a child. Today... I'm not nearly as excited about it. Yea, the beats are sounding waaaay better than they did when I was young but, what's the message?

So many people don't even care about what the message is - but on the heels of watching videos like the ones shared in my past blog - one can't help but wonder. Rap music has such a negative impact on the Black Community. Can't help but wonder if it's part of their system.

In the matrix, everything is connected. Everything is monitored - the people are literally being controlled through the images fed into their brain. They've got no idea that they are really floating in a glass tube somewhere in a Future America - that they're not really living.

I've posed this question since originally watching the film - but my first perception of the film was based on Financial reality - how what we learn in school has nothing to do with truly succeeding in THIS world. How we are really limited by the people in our workplace - the people we grew up with - family who came before us who no longer believe that it's possible to go from rags to riches...

That is, without winning the loterry.

If you missed it, here's your chance to read all about it.

... Scary Stuff. So now what?

So, that's why I don't watch the News.

However, videos like that one below, on mind control - that's scary stuff. Makes me wonder if I've ever been implanted with a chip during one of my doctor visits; and if they've used the power of suggestion on me to make me Do things I normally would not do.

I wonder if that thought crossed any of your minds while watching those videos - or if you threw your hands up 2 minutes into video #1 and said, "this shit can't be real!"

OF course, this is why I'd much rather focus on making money - on helping others do the same; on sharing ideas and philosophies about how to go from where you are now (financially) to where you'd like to be.

But the question that remains is, Get more money for what?

What would I do if I accomplished all my goals. Made Millions of dollars in my chosen profession. I'd certainly take care of my family first - build a real nice house that will last for generations and generations - an heirloom to pass on to remind my descendants that hard, smart work can pay off...

I'd pay my parents back for all they've done for me my entire life. One big check for them to go take about 10 vacations with. I'd take a vacation myself... would be great if I had a "special someone" to take that vacation with; but of course by then that special lady would've found me. That's kinda how these things work....

After the vacation - would I get back to making a difference in the world? I dont know. I mean - I try not to be political; even in this blog. Sure I share information that is a bit eye opening; but that's really the extent of what i'm interested in. I don't want to run for president; but it would be nice to imspire people who would do a GREAT job of leading america - to make enough money to give themselves a shot at doing just that.

My college room mate sent me a artical from Lou Dobbs - discussing how corporate america owns the nation; how they've basically bought out both sides of our political parties - how it doesn't really matter who's in charge; the Democrats or the Republicans - beause those 2 parties are answering to corporate America.

Who is Corporate America?

They're the guys with All the Money - and therefore, all the power. They've got millions to pour into advertising campaigns, television shows & movies. They can get their message across at ease becaue they employ millions who will do what they are told to do, or else risk losing their "good job."

They have full control over our system - mainly because 'we the people' have allowed them to. We figure it's easier to just go and work for someone else, than to work for yourself. And if you've got bills to pay and things you'd like to do Now - you're right. It's a whole lot easier.

I was at a gathering one night and someone decided to go around the room asking everyone what's the most they've made in their life. Some of my friends were shouting out impressive numbers. His point was to show that none of the people in the room were Smart Investors - or had no intrest in investing their money wisely - But when it came to me, I didn't have a very big number to report.

It's funny but for a moment there, I felt embarassed - Then I really thought about how hard I had to work to make that small amount; It wasn't much - but I felt like I earned it, more so than anyone else in the room who was most likely given their salary just for showing up.

It's harder - but it's much more rewarding; You feel good about yourself and your abilities. You feel like you do have a purpose; and even when you get off track or lose focus, you're in a better position to regain your vision of the road you are supposed to be traveling; Of course I'm speaking for my self there... but others I've talked with over the years about this subject do agree with me on the feeling of pride one gets from Owning your future and Controling your own path.

However if the majority of people would rather be Owned - because it's easier to be Owned - then what's left for me to do?

Spend time looking for those who are like minded? Perhaps.

But I can't help feeling like I wish there was more we could do, for the ones who'll be left behind, all because they didn't want to come along for the ride, to a better lived & more fullfilled life.

... maybe they've been brainwashed.

Was "the Matrix" ... just a movie?

**Important! edit as of May 7th, 2007 - The videos in this post were removed; The basis of the videos was about a program run by the CIA known as MK Ultra - the question for you is, is this real? There are many videos on YouTube about it, feel free to look into it for your self. However, due to the links I have coming TO this article I felt it was important to let you know the Videos for this post, have been removed. **

Ok ... this falls in the category of scary. This information is either true, or made up. I don't have enough information to say for sure; Sure, I can speculate as well as you can.

Just like always, my main concern is that we at least think about the information and question as to whether or not "this" is actually happening here, and now.

If it is, what could that mean? want to see the rest... ?

here ya go.

Part 2

Part 3

Part 4

... scary stuff. So the movie that also comes to mind here is The Manchurian Candidate. I've heard that they only make movies about things that are either possible, have happened, or is happening now - yes, that would mean there are distant galaxies, star wars, aliens, even werewolves and vampires...

But we are told that none of these things are real ... at least that's what we're supposed to believe. What do you believe ... and why?

and Finally...

I used to love this guy's show on ABC - I used to watch it almost religously. I can't say I was shocked when he got dumped, it was coming eventually. Moving to HBO was perfect for this show...

SO I guess people are speaking out - maybe it's still safe.

Maybe we should take advantage of it, while it's still a Right.

More from Keith... & Colburn.

another story I heard about - Rush made another riddiculous remark.

here's what comes to My mind - This is who we are living with. For everyone who hates Rush, there are plenty who absolutely love him, and take his word as Gospel.

Watch that video - Sam Sedar makes a nice quote...

"The implications of the implementation of their policies."

I'm not here to attack republicans; althought they've gotta be ashamed of themselves for loudly associating themselves with this group of people. Hey, democrats are just as crooked and lie just as much; But at least they do a better job of hiding it.

yet another reason why we need to move away from voting for a party - and start voting for Ideas. Who's Ideas are better? Who can lead us in a better direction?

Feel free to offer up your nominee in my comment box.

How Long does he have?

Staying with this theme here of who's gonna speak out - This guy has been doing lots of that. Keith Olberman, former sportscenter anchor, now big time news guy on MSNBC - breaks down the recent 'controversy' over Bush's claim, that he's never mentioned staying the course in Iraq.

Pretty entertaining video he put together.

Propaganda some will argue; Just what happened to common sense << that's the first thought that comes to mind.

Then another thought comes to mind; one that Came to me originally about 7 months ago. At one point in time, the majority of people thought the world was flat. The majority of people thought the earth would never flood. The majority said that Galleleo was crazy for suggesting that the earth rotated around the sun.

They killed him over that too.

What does this mean? The Majority is WRONG.

This idea of majority rules, is a set up for failure. If you find yourself In the Majority, you may need to re-evaluate your opinions, your beliefs, & your ideas.

Whatever you do - do not stay the course.

Old News?

I'm going to include a link to the actual board I found this on, because I felt the conversation, and comments were very interesting. I'm going to talk about Race here at ThaShow - it's hard not to.

Because I am a black man who is Not racist - I have dated women of every race on the planet and find them all beautiful. I have had friends in the past from every race, and honestly there is truly good in us all - However, racism is a HUGE problem in America - I hope I get a chance to break down "why" that is, in a later edition of thaShow!

The guy makes a comparisson to Slavery towards the end of this interview. He is clearly distraught after going through what we all whitnessed over the television.

The funny part is how he says the word "Fuck" and the newsguy acts all shocked... like he's never heard the word before. Someone else makes mention of that aswell, here on the original landing page of this youTube featurette.

Again, it's a great site and as you can probably tell I will be using it from time to time to help illustrate the points I'd like to make.

I also need to deviate long enough to mention that I was a Chatter - I sorta still am but, allow me to explain. Chat is what attracted me to the internet at the age of 17. The idea that I could meet people from anywhere in the world was where it started, that sounded cool! - Then the reality that I could meet women from local areas was an even better idea; Chat was pretty cool when I First got into it. But there were some Obvious problems.

Of all the 'well-documented' problems with the chat world - such as women and men lying, using fake pictures, profiles, etc... in addition to the people in chat rooms not being the "Brightest Bulbs" on the planet, and so on - There has always been an extreme amount of blatant Racism!

Because of who I am - I dont have a very good reputation in the chat world. It's bad enough to tell a bunch of racist white people that it's NOT cool to be racist - It's even worse when you're black; They just dont listen - and from my eyes, the so called 'non-racist' people are not doing enough on their own to object or stand with black people who have been objecting to racism for hundreds of years.

If anything - I'd say the Internet really exposes the unsaid here in America - we all know people will say things on here that they dont have the courage to say aloud. Lots of guys on here have more courage to talk to girls online, than they do offline. While I always felt it helps if you have offline experience, becuase you'll just know what girls actually want to talk about... that's just me.

Most of the things I say online - are things I say offline.

Even still, certainly not even I am innocent of saying things online that I normally would not utter in person. But, I've had conversations with many people over a 12-13 year span about the Reality of the Internet Conversations that do take place.

It's in our hearts, these words we type out on the screen - the words are in our Heads, our Ideas & Thoughts - We Think, then we Type. So what's said on here is just as real as anything we would say in person or over a phone line. And honestly, I'd say people are behaving the same way on here, as we do in person with one another.

If we truly care about being the Best country in the world - don't we need to be the best country in the world? Are we so blinded by our hatred that we cannot see that division makes us weaker, instead of stronger... ?

The comments that are left by white people on those boards are amazingly racist - and yet is seems that the only folks objecting are blacks.

Where's Michael Moore when you need him - to point the finger at whitey, and say, "hey I'm white too".

I mentioned that thaShow is really just an extention of thaClub - I held these types of conversations there and I must say - I noticed participation started to drop around the same time.

How come blacks & whites cannot discuss racism with one another? Why must it always turn into a name calling argument; instead of an eye opening discussion? Dialogue is one way to help heal the wounds because it can lead to understanding; and in My experience, the ideas that white people are holding onto, are the primary cause for the ongoing issues of racial hatred.

Want blacks to stop complaining about racism? ... Stop supporting racism. Stop silently approving racism. Stop being racist. Stop calling blacks niggers - Stop making excuses for why it's ok - or 'should' be ok - So what if blacks call each other niggas - There 'should' never be a GOOD reason for a white person to use that word. Nevermind blacks for a moment ...

Instead of trying to clean up black people; White people need to clean up White people. White people need to police each other. Because let's get real about the word Nigger vs. Nigga - it has nothing to do with how it's spelled. It's the intent behind the usage of the word.

That makes all the difference.

When a black man calls me a nigga - he's calling me his brother, his equal. Stop overlooking that please. Listen to what I am saying - Comprehend what you are reading. That black man looks at me and figures that we have a shared, common experience living in America.

When a white man calls me a nigger - he's calling me lesser than, not equal to. He's saying I'm beneath him, genetically inferior. There is no shared, common experience in his eyes; only hatred.

Read the comments on that board - The white people using the word "nigger" - use it as an insult. Not as a sign of bonding equality.

The constant argument that I hear - that 'since blacks do it, it should be ok' - is utterly riddiculous. And if white people want to go on thinking of themselves as intelligent, it's time for them to act like they're intelligent and DO something intelligent; like discarding riddiculous ideas like that one.

Quit bringing up BET - the ONE black station out of 700 stations aimed mostly at entertaining white people. Because racism is not about that.

BET is not the cause of racism; Blacks calling each other nigga, has nothing to do with whites calling blacks Niggers.

C'mon - you're smarter than that; Aren't you?

Waiting for the world to change

Flipping channels I ran into a new video from John Mayer - Might not be new but, it was new to me.

Which brings me back to youTube - There's so much on it to share. So much to see. It's great for moments like this when I wanna tell you about the world we're living in.

It's holloween afterall, so let's pick up on this idea of Fear. We're in a society of fear, a culture of fear. I was watching the news briefly tonight, the first sentence was,

"Tonight's Top story, Arson & Murder!"

- top story ... Anchorman is one of my favorite movies because not only is it funny - it's pretty true to what the news does. Show you 49 minutes of bad, negative, fear inspiring news and 30 seconds of the squirrell on the waterski, or the cat who won that kitty fashion show.

Should I be afraid to share what others are already sharing?

I'm sure I'm expressing the feelings of many because let's face it. Outside of the ones sharing it, nobody else is really sharing it - So, I wonder if it's because of fear?

Bowling for Columbine really examined the development of fear in our society like no other film or documentary I have since seen has. Great film but of course the guy who made it has had his reputation Trashed for following it up with an attack on the powers that be.

Over 100 soldiers died in Iraq this month; Over 100 families have lost some one very special and irreplacable in their lives. And we've been told over and over to expect more, a Long Haul.

Most of us are too cool to get up in arms about it like they did back in VIetnam - shouting out War is not the answer - No, the answer is Love!

Bring back the hippies and the sex orgies (with condoms to prevent std's) - I'm all for that. Besides let's face it, sex is one major reason that we're not up in arms about what's going on. Fear, and Sex.

We're too afraid to rock the boat - because we dont wanna risk Never having sex again; or participating in the hunt for sex - the mission to accomplish sex at the end of the night, the road trip, or whatever journey we're too afraid of not getting to go on.

Sex is good - but it's bad, bad, bad - why is that?

Should I share that kind of information - should i make the effort to spread awareness about subjects that our society's leaders have worked very hard to spread Ignorance on?

See for me this all started with my desire to earn more money; To make LOTS of money - to get rich; I began with questioning Why some people had so much, and why others had to work so hard, for half as much... and sometimes didn't even get that.
Why? What went into the silver spoon that some kids are so fortunate to have in their mouths as they exit the womb.

A great line from one of the greatest films ever made comes to mind right now. "It's the question that drives us, Neo" - The Quest, The journey ... and yes I can admit that I've always been inquisitive. I've always wondered, and wanted to know.

Curiosity may have killed the cat - But Curiosity has opened doors to ideas and thoughts I never thought I'd be exposed to. It's as if there really is some great, powerful Force that is behind it all; Guiding my steps and leading me into places, and even trying to keep me out of other places.

True, I'm not exactly a "model christian" - and maybe that plays into my favor. because you see I have experienced the fullness of life. To some degree at least. I've never had the desire to be off heroin or coke - so that's one extreme I can say I've avoided. Then you've gotta include things like...

- moutain climbing - parachuting - bungee jumping - snow skiing - water skiing -

The Fullness of life differs for diferent people.

Who knows how you define fullness - and yet, I'm still a bit unfullfilled. I still feel as if I have so much more to explore, to find out - to discover. All the while I feel as if things are not in my control. World events put it in the back of my mind; No matter how much I try to avoid the "news" ...

Tonight's Top story - Korea Let's off a Nuclear Bomb - Iran is not going to stop it's nuclear enrichment program - and Bush is a liar.

Who do we turn to? Who do we run to? Who will keep the world safe? Who's telling us the truth and who's lying? Is Bill Clinton really a better person than Bush? Is he on the right side of the fence? Is it worse to lie about getting head in the oval office, or about a country posing a grave threat to our future?

I'm not really interested in answering those questions; Just posing them - for you to think about and discuss within your circle of friends, family, co-workers, and so on. Because frankly I'm not so sure the answers are simple at all. Not from the things I've seen and read. There's a string of funny videos on YouTube, displaying all the
Presidential bloopers of W. - and honestly I'm led to believe after watching them that, Bush is far from an idiot - and I may be one of the only people saying that in America today; I think it's all an act. You can get away with more when people think you're stupid or just don't know any better. That's a fact.

I suppose the bible has always told us that there will be wars and rumors of wars; and that some day all of this is going to end. But Nostradamus told us we had till 3,000 and something.

I'd say now is a good time for prayer. I've seen lots of evidence over the past few months that leads me to believe that even religion has been tainted by a small handfull of people, seeking to have power over the masses; And it's worked right down to the tee. And yet all the evidence I've seen, which clearly spells out to me that, Much of religion has been edited and censored in a way to control and rule over people, and yet there is still some unseen force - some powerful creator who is in control of it all. As I age, and live this thing called life I do find myself coming closer to God - or perhaps God is coming closer to me.

Either way I feel His prescense - and I feel that I can truly help other people see what He wants them to do with their lives. I feel like the planet isn't ready to go just yet, and eventually we'll all wake up to what's happening around us, and take a time out to re-think our plan. There is so much left to do.

We have an entire Universe to explore...

We should be uniting to find ways to get people onto other planets, to cultivate life on other planets, and so on. This in-fighting here on earch is much like the story of the crabs in the barrell.

It's a story that I heard Rich Dad tell, as a story that originated in Hawaii - it's a story that I've heard older black men tell as a story that sums up what's happening in the black community - I've heard motivational speakers use it to explain what happens in our Circle of Friends when we Do indeed attempt to climb up, and OUT of the barrel.

Other crabs reach up and pull us back in. No one gets out due to everyone pulling each other back in. Of course the solution to this problem would be to give each other a hand up!

But simple things are too complicated for us Humans to do... so it seems for now.

The Next Best thing..

I really want to bring you folks something entertaining; Something worth reading, watching, and/or listening to.

I began kicking around the idea about 6-9 months ago - to create an entire page filled with my favorite videos from youTube.

This was before all the recent hype - Lately I'm seeing all kinds of articles discussing the possible next step, now that google has bought YouTube out - Google may become the next Network. I saw that and began thinking...

Would it remain true "to the people."

It's hard to comment on current events in the world today; Things seem to be turning more and more dangerous for anyone who's doing their Democratic duty in keeping others aware of what they need to be aware of.

No, speaking out is frowned on - and I must admit that I Do wonder if I get spyed on for things I've said and done in the past - in open public forums via the internet. We all know that spying is taking place - supposedly for our safety. But I'm a black man.

I try hard not to play the "race card" - but some things are unavoidable. When I think of America for me it's not the grand and glorious vision that many non-blacks hold of this country. It's not a hate filled vision either.

I simply look at America for what it is - for what it's been - and for what it's become. This is the home of racism - this is the root of the idea that one race is Superior to another. And if it's happened once in this country, couldn't it happen again?

Slowly we are all watching our Freedom's being erroded by the current events in the world and, again it's almost dangerous to take a stand on one side or another; To speak out against what our country is doing in the current war; To question their strategy and if it's working or not - It's hard not to be afraid of what they may do, if I did that.

I'm sure that's why others don't speak up.

I'm sure that's why so many have tuned out - better to vegg, than to be in the know I suppose. Better to watch reality tv, than to actually take part in reality.

Because reality is too real at times.

I feel Like I'm rambling so I'm sure you do to - but I'm going somewhere with all of this and will tie it together for you in a minute. Just keep reading.

Reality is, America had crooked beginnings; The fore-fathers who are often praised for what they were, are often Never publically riddiculed for what else they were. Two Sided, Hypocritical Individuals.

They preached freedom and equality for all; while with holding it from black people.

Who cares is the modern day mantra - any non-black person and even quite a few blacks do not even Care anymore about what happened then... So convinced we are that things have changed, people have changed, agendas have changed - Racism was 400 years ago.

Oh, Slavery was 200 years ago - and racism, well So what - it'll never go away! Those people who keep bringing it up are the problem - not those of us who have blindly accepted a reality that, is Not very real at all.

Because reality is too real for these people to handle - These people who preach silly ideas like racism will be with us forever; yea, so long as we keep turning a blind eye to it when we see it. So long as we keep supporting beliefs that keep us divided.

United States of America - how United are we?

Are we too afraid to make the change - to lead the charge in the right direction? Too uninformed to realize that there is a problem, and that it's crying out for a solution to find it. Burried beneath all the bullshit ladies and gentlement have piled on top of it - all in an attempt to hide that it's even in the room...

Our collective actions on things such as Racism are very reflective of what this nation will do, when the USA becomes Nazi Germany West.

We're going to do nothing.

We're going to turn a blind eye and a deaf ear to anybody Speaking out against it, or encouraging us to speak out with them. We're going to sit back and hope they don't cancel our favorite tv shows or raise the price on our favorite type of music. We're going to say "so long as it's not effecting me, there is no problem."

Are there more minorities in America than whites? I wonder...

Because what will white people do, when the same astrocities are once more being carried out; In the name of safety, in the name of a better life, for white people. Will they fall in line, again - do nothing, again - take no action to save the lives of others, again - while a small handfull of white people do fight and hundreds of years later finally succeed in getting the majority of white people to stop endorsing acts of violence on other races (at least to stop endorsing it publically) ...?

And I started out with YouTube... didn't I? Well here is the tie in.

There are a bunch of excellent videos on there that I'd love to share. But I'm a lil afraid to do so. Why? The information is damaging - However, what it really shows is just how apathetic Americans are; At least that was my first thought. Then it dawned on me that perhaps it was all planned out - Americans have always been apathetic.

That's just who and what this country has always been.

Nothing has changed... except for Technology.

Technology is better today than ever before (as far as we know.)

Technology has made our lives easier to live... but we're still the same people. We're still carrying on our Traditions, even if those traditions include racist ideas & apathy towards what our gov't is doing. Traditions that include backing everything our country does, so long as it's not harming us... right now.

Our traditions are not about holding onto who We are - they are about holding onto what our ancestors were; Truthfully not all traditions deserve to be passed on. Not all ways of thinking, veiwing the world, etc - should be carried on for generations and generations, No - Some things deserve to be inturrpted, changed, transformed & improved.

... like technology - look at it. It's ever evolving.

But are we?

Welcome back al

What have I been up to?

Blogging of course! - Well not really. But I have been reading more about it. As you may know, I was extremely NEW to blogging, podcasting, etc when I first began pumping out ideas for ThaShow - I was reading about all the great things blogs can do for a business; and being a business owner that idea appealed to me.

I'm sure everyone is new at first - and while I apologize for not Posting anything for the past few months, I assure you it was for good reason.

Clarity.

Always important in life to be clear about anything we do. Clarity was one of the things I needed in terms of what direction thaShow would go in.

As it turns out, I've been blogging for several years and just didn't know it. For a while I was not sure what to write - what to share - I sorta wanted to share the same kinds of things I shared in my Yahoo Group - but decided against it. Originally I wanted thaShow to be a Podcast with a weekly or bi-weekly edition ready for the masses to eat up in their itunes, ipods, or whatever RSS readers they're into.

And that was before I even really had a good grasp on what any of that meant; I just knew there was something GOOD in it.

So in a nutshell that's where I've been - and you can expect to read more from me on a more regular basis.

About the podcast

- the audio version of this show may not be available as Soon as I would've liked - and perhaps as soon as You would've liked. I was using the audio-blog option that was made available to the people here on blogger - but it was crap. And turns out now it's no longer functioning at all.

Good while it lasted I suppose.

Truthfully it would be better to do a Vlog - but we need to get a video camera before that can happen.

So while kicking around ideas on my own I've decided to start letting YOU "yes you" in on our creative process.

Here's what I'm thinking of doing.

  1. Inviting Contributors to share their thoughts.

Stay tuned for that; I happen to have met some very interesting people via my first blogging adventure and will be in contact with them to see if I can get them to submit One article per month to Thashow @ BlogSpot.com - People often tell me how much they enjoy reading some of my thoughts but... just wait until you get a load of these folks.

If you're a pretty interesting person and would like to be a contributor to Thashow simply let me know and We'll take it from there.

  2. The Podcast is coming

    - and much like my idea for having other people help chime in around here as far as posts - we'll bring in some of the funniest people I know to talk with you about whatever comes to mind on that day. I promise you it'll be pretty entertaining.

  3. Videos

    - Yes, even though we dont have one now, it's worth it to invest in something that will give us the capability to Truly get our message accross to you.

  4. What's our message? ... what's My message?

Let's make this world a better place, one person at a time. Let's laugh and enjoy life. Let's be critical and political - let's examine the ideas and laws that influence our pursuit of happiness - let's not hate each other over opposing Views; instead let us Listen to each other in hopes of gaining more understanding into why We want, what we Want - and overall let's be fair enough to Give to others, so that we may also recieve.

Check out my Money making Newsletter - and stay tuned for information on how you can fatten your pockets by Investing in Real Estate.

And I'll get back to the behind the scenes negotiations of making thaShow a more comprehensive blog, that's worth tuning into.
